For some annoying reason, MySQL no work on Windows 8

    I've tried running it as administrator, and executing the installer via administrator command prompt. It doesn't install successfully and the service for the MySQL server does not start.

    Any ideas on how to get this working on Windows 8 Pro with Media Center 64-bit?
