    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​

    Description
    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:
    This server is running Craftbukkit version git-Bukkit-0.0.0-980-g4ed23b1-b1060jnks (MC: 1.7.3)
    Please check that this version is the same as one of those in the title of the post.

    Right, but the plugin has an option to take over the respawn, the option does not work. I'm just wondering what setting MultiVerse to handle respawns is supposed to actually do if it doesn't change the respawn on death....

    Your inventory is following you from world to world. The way we use to do Multi World Servers was to setup Multi Servers running on different ports thus taking up even more ram/cpu/disk space that would allow you to have different inventories. To answer your question I am not sure there if there is way to have different inventories. That would be an okay thing to have.

    Hi! my english suck and i am not so god on files and things like it.

    so i not understanding the second thing

    (1) Download MultiVerse.zip
    (2) Unzip to your BUKKITDIR/plugins directory
    (3) Start bukkit.

    can someone explain it to me as I were a baby

    Love the plugin, but don't use the portals. I would love to see the mv functionality (in game world spawning and testing etc) to be coupled with WHX portals or something similar.

    But, since you're not English, I suppose I can elaborate on what it says. You unzip a zip file by double-clicking it (usually). Depending on your OS and your zip utility, that may either make a new folder beside the zip file, or open up a window; if it makes a new folder, open it. Then drag everything from that window (either the folder window or the zip window) into the plugins folder where you installed CraftBukkit.

    Does that help?

    If you're doing this via ssh, obviously those instructions won't work.

    Never mind, for some reason i had to let the lower group use the multiverse.tp permission (even though i dont want them to use / commands) now i can enter the portals fine as well

    What did i mess up, everything was workin fine until i messed with my permissions, i made some groups up and gave limited access to some, but now I cant even use my own portals as Admin, even though i can use the /mvtp fine

  15. This is expected behavior in 1.6.X, maybe improvements in 2.X.

    MultiVerse works great with WHX. You can use MV to do your world mgmt and WHX to do teleportation.

    I'll check it out, haven't tested with 677 (The latest RB), This will happen later today.

    People have reported to get this working, but offically only Permissions 2.6 is supported in 1.6.2

    Looks like an OS file permissions issue, are you on a Linux/OSX environment?

    is there any way to change the time in the non-main worlds? /set time only seems to affect the main world, even when done in another world; any fixes?

    Thanks quite a lot, but now I've got another problem: I've got no ideo how to open the .dat file. A text editor doesn't work...

    I've seen a couple other people post this issue. Curious as to whether anybody else has experienced it.
    On 617, all is well. All of my different worlds load up as per usual, super fast.
    I make the move to 670 (on a test server for safety purposes) and all the worlds load at the very beginning. Slowly.
    One at a time. Then slower until it hits the memory cap and everything freezes.
    Is this an issue with Multiverse or with CB? It doesn't give me any errors beyond java heap errors.

    Oh, also, I made sure all other plugins were up to date while checking this. I've also used further CB builds, one at a time, with the same results. Everything was fine with 617 but onwards, slow loading to a crawl, and it never finishes.

    I'm having a problem of when I use /mvtp (haven't even gotten around to setting up real portals yet) I move worlds correctly, but the chunk I'm in and 0-2 other chunks fail to load. Disconnect/reconnect fixes this, but is a pain. Suggestions?

    Ok, I'm still having problems with this plugin and the nether. I start with a normal world. I use /mvimport to import another normal world. I setup portals and can go between the two normal worlds fine. No problems. No server errors. As soon as I try to /mvimport my existing nether world I start to hear nether sounds in my normal world without doing anything else. No server errors. If I try to create a portal and go between nether and normal worlds, the nether sounds and creatures (ghasts) come back to the normal world. I'm using the following:
    Craftbukkit 677
    MultiVerse 1.6.2
    Permissions 2.6
    iChat 2.2.3
    WorldEdit 4.3
    WorldGuard 5 A9
    CommandBook 1.2.1
    LWC 2.21

    I think it's something like "/mvremove <world-name>". Then you would have to shut down the server. Also, any players in that world would need to have their dat files either deleted or edited to put them back at spawn. And then you could delete the world folder, if you want.
