    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More
    Current Version: 2.2-AB

    Description
Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

Looking for the old version that runs on CraftBukkit 1000? We don't have it anymore :( Here's an archive of the old help post. If you're a new user, we REALLY recommend using Multiverse 2..

    The Multiverse Team:
    Developers:

@lithium3141 - Utility coder or crazy math dude. You decide.
@main-- - Is this his forum account? Localization person and MV-Adventure dev!

    Documenters:

    • PermissionsBukkit support (Anything that implements the superperms api (PermBukkit, PEX, bPerms...)
    • iConomy, BOSEconomy, RealEcon, Essentials Econ and Item economy support!
    • Show which users are in what worlds
    • Create portals to let users go between worlds
    • Control who can enter worlds/portals with permissions!
    • World scaling with NetherPortals
    • Allow minecarts/boats through portals
    • Launch users through the air when they enter a portal!
    • Conserve memory by having some worlds NOT keep their spawn chunks loaded!
    • And the list goes on...

    Version 1.6.4

    • Fixed 0 Price Portals
    • Fixed a bug with new Portals
    • Updated for iConomy 5 (You will need to update to iCo 5)
    • Improved the PVP Setup
      • Now you no longer have to set the server.properties PVP variable to true... this is now completely done via the worlds config and properly stops PVP rather than preventing the damage from being applied.
    Version 1.6.3

    • Update for Minecraft 1.5 and CraftBukkit build 733
    Version 1.6.2

    • Contains updates/features which were introduced in 1.5
Version 1.6 - Thanks to 'fernferret'

    • Updated for CB Builds 600+
    Version 1.5 - Permissions 2.1+ - (V1.5 - 02/03/2011)[/U]

    • Fixed whitelist/blacklisting once and for all :), thanks to @ledhead900
    • Add permission node 'multiverse.portal.exempt' -- Basically means they don't have to pay the cost of the portal... this is useful for Donors and such.
    • Updated to use iConomy 4.1 -- Would be great if I can get feedback on this... as usual I can only test solo.
    Version 1.4 - Permissions 2.0 & 2.1 - (V1.4 - 26/02/2011 - 01:11 AM GMT)

    • Should be easier on high pop servers now
      • Only checks if a player is within a Portal everytime he changes BLOCK Coordinate instead of every single pixel footstep he/she takes.
    • Now Supports Permissions 2.1 -- Both 2.1 and 2.0 support have seperate JARs, so get the right one.
      • Also commands are properly disabled when a Permissions plugin is not found and it will alert the player trying to use the Command.
    Version 1.3 - Permissions 2.0 - (V1.3 - 24/02/2011 - 02:31 AM GMT)

    • Removed the 'Stupidly Long Constructor'
    • Fixed an error which was loading portals that were on a non existent world which caused errors later on.
    Version 1.2.2 - (V1.2.2 - 23/02/2011 - 03:05 AM GMT)

    • Nothing much just updated so it works with Minecraft Beta 1.3, I suggest you don't use a lower Multiverse build than v1.2.2 otherwise it won't work and errors will occur.
    Version 1.2.1 - (V1.2.1 - 20/02/2011 - 23:35 PM GMT)

    • Changed over to the new Entity Damage...

Then, when I get it to work, I'm in the spawnpoint for that world, but not the portal, with this error:
    Code:
    10:37:54 [WARNING] itssnowing moved wrongly!
    10:37:54 [INFO] Got position 14.5, 117.0, -31.5
    10:37:54 [INFO] Expected 19.30000001192093, 117.0, -31.5

Edit: It appears that the problem is not when going to the one world, but one world that spews errors when teleporting to or from it. Portals work fine, but the problem is that I have a mini "Hub" there that takes me all over the place, and it's kinda nice to be able to teleport there without having to re-type the thing a dozen times

I deleted server.properties, rebooted server, and set mobs and PvP to true, still can't get the worlds.yml to have any effect in disabling mobs for a creative world. Plus I'm also having issues with spawn: when I /setspawn from essentials, does that make a spawn for /spawns from that world, /spawns from any world, or a spawn for new users?

I cant use a command like "/mvcreate bla nether", he says:

"you do not have the rights to access this command"

i have installed Permissions and in plugins/Permissions/config.yml i have my nick:

    users:
    Exxter:
    group: Admin
    permissions:

    Any ideas whats wrong?

    Itssnowing

    @Exxter:
Make sure Admin has -'*' for it's permissions?

Also, you need to rename config.yml to the name of the world it's for, with copies for each new world.
    (I have 5 files- "Testworld.yml", "Nether.yml", "World.yml".. etc.

Just a small bug when players go through portal they loose there skins clientside.

For other players the skins still are shown.

Also would love to see some of the servers with multiworlds you guys have.

    Please add option like this:
/mvpm (multiverse portal modify) cost [price] - to change price for using portal.

    Example:
/mvpm cost 20 - price for using this portal is 20.

I try to edit the spawn in the worlds.yml file. But I probaly did something wrong. Because I spawn in the wrong place.
    Can anyone help me?

    Itssnowing

@lorki3 It would be helpful if you showed us your Worlds.yml file set up.

@Rigby90 How are the coordinates arranged? What you have in the World.yml example looks like has too many numbers to be a normal XYZ arrangement.

The first three numbers appear to be XYZ. I'm not sure what the others are; maybe yaw and pitch or something.

    Itssnowing

Oh, maybe. That seems like a funny thing to add as coordinates, though. And in the example, Nether and Creative both have a different amount of numbers in their coordinates.. (Nether has 4, and Creative has 5)

As I said, I don't know what the other numbers are, but I'm pretty sure XYZ coordinates are the first three.

Getting this error sometimes when users try and use a portal to the nether.

It spams the console with that message every time they pass through the portal. It's weird because other users can walk through the portal and it works while it's not working for someone else. Maybe iconomy related? I'm using 4.6

    Itssnowing

If it's iConomy related, try un-installing iConomy and going through the portal again. If it doesn't happen for anyone, it's worth asking the maker of iConomy if they know what's up.

Does anyone knows when the Multiverse plugin is gone supprt the new builds?
Or does this means something else??
    Thanks!!!

    Itssnowing

Download the most recent build that Multiverse allows, and try that. I think you'll still get errors, because I know I have too.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but can you have different permissions for different maps. Like if I want one survival and one creative map. Could I allow the /item command in the creative map but not the survival map. I guess what I'm asking is if you can manage the different maps as different servers. It'd be great if you could answer?

    Itssnowing

Yes. To do this, copy/paste your config file for Permissions into the same folder it's already in (So that there's two). Rename it to the appropriate name (Ex. World.yml and Nether.yml respectively.) and edit that file's permissions. Each world should have different permissions now.

Hello, great plugin! Only problem I see is, why do I lose my skin when I teleport from world to world?

It's a bug, happens for me too. However, it's only client side. Other players will still see the skin :)

I am having a very odd issue. I have 1 server running this no problem. I am setting up another, and for somereason the defaults worldspawn doesn't want to take. No matter what I do. No other spawn controlling addons are in effect.

I can set spawns in another world. And if I die in the broken one, I do get to to the spawn. But if you mvtp, join the game or anything, that happens

    Any ideas?

    Itssnowing

    What is "that", that happens?

You could try making a portal right near the spawn, and teleporting to that instead.

The problem is new people logging in. They will login and be at the default spawn for the world. But if they die they go to the correct spawn.

Nothing I do seems to work.
