    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​

    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:

    I typed the command as per your suggestion and it said that that world already existed. So I copy pasted the existing world entry, changes the name to nether and the type to nether and it's working now. So that seems to have been the issue. When I enabled splike it created the nether world but didnt add the entry to the worlds.yml... Is this sounding correct?

    I'm not sure... I can't even remember adding the ability to autocreate the nether world when SPLike is on.

    You sure you're not running Essentials Nether?

    Nah it's actually within the Essentials core... god knows why... its not a core feature yet he doesnt want to remove it after I requested.

    Just make sure nether is turned off within the Essentials core setup, as well as the nether portals.

    Can anyone comment on the ability to run multiple worlds with a 1 GB hosted VPS? I'd love to create 3 worlds, but I'm afraid it would lag the server too much. Max we get about 10 players right now, but I have a feeling that this is still too many players for multi worlds.

    Is it possible to load a single player map with multiverse?
    If so how would I so do it?

    Copy your single player world folder into the same folder on your server that craftbukkit.jar resides in, and then use the /mvimport command as outlined in the original post of this thread.

    I don't want it to overwrite the main server world though. I want one map for my main world and another for the singleplayer map.

    You can freely rename the world folder to whatever you like. Then import it.

    @Rigby90 I have had a problem with your plugin for a while, i love your plugin it has made businesses in my server boom because of the lightstone but i have one problem. The portals don't work for my server. They worked before i updated to 1.4. I am on the latest bukkit build 493+. I have tried adding people to the whitelist and stuff but nothing works and i don't have iConomy. Please help me soon. I also gave you my files.

    P.S i am the admin of the server and i have the -'*' and even i can't go through portals.

    Oh, I can't just update to #493. I'd have to make sure all of my plugins worked on that version. I'll be on #450 until a required plugin needs me to update.

    One question, how much ram is needed to run this lagglessly?

    To have extra worlds? No additional ram should be needed.
    Another world is effectively more explored map just separate.
    The only thing that should increase is the map size.

    (So basically if your server is already lag-less then the answer to your question is the ram you currently have)

    Again if your server can handle 20 people exploring and building then it doesnt matter what world they are in.
    The only difficulties would be with bugs with the plugin or usual generic problems. The server load should be the same.

    I don't see why not. Providing the machine in question has at least 512mb of ram for the server to use.
    There are a lot of factors to contribute to how well a server runs.
    I think your server based questions are better off for the minecraft forums.
    Though as I have said before. It tends to be the amount of players that puts the main about of drain on a server,
    not what they are doing.

    I have created yml file for each world, and placed them in Permissions folder, but the permissions appears to be globally defined. If server-level: world is defined, then world.yml is the only file it takes in consideration. All other yml files are omited or are not being read as per world selection. Please elaborate on what you're suggesting. Perhaps I have already tried/tested them.

    I've fixed my own problem

    I removed Essentials, EssentialsTeleport, EssentialsHelp, and Spawn Control, and replaced with CommandBook, MyHome and Help, and the permissions issue is fixed.

    Hope this is of some help to somebody :)

    Great plugin but i dont get how I setup a portal using the newer method:

    [U]Using the Selection Tool Method[/U]
     Since portals used by MultiVerse do not require signs to point to their  location, you can use the selection wand to make portals out of  selections. The default selection tool is a wooden pickaxe (270), but  you can change the tool in the MultiVerse.yml file in your plugins  directory if needed.
     Simply left-click one block, then right-click another, to make a cuboid  selection. Once a portal is made, whenever a player comes into contact  with the blocks, including air, within that selection, they will be  teleported to the portal's destination.

  29. Hey, sry if this already came up, it's a big thread by now ;)
    Anyway... I beliefe since the last update (we updated about a week ago) something has changed I think.
    When in the server.properties the mobspawn is disabled there are no mobs in our worlds (except in the nether), although the multiverse configuration says otherwise. If we enable the mobspawn, mobs are there where they have to be, but in our peaceful world, the auto-heal is disabled. Somehow I think that was different in an earlier version.
    In the peaceful world were no mobs and auto-heal, in our mobworld were mobs and no auto-heal.
    Any ideas?

    in addition: the number ob spawning mobs seems to be greatly reduced. There are some zombies but so few that it doesn't even matter.....

    Hello there, I have a major problem.
    I have Multiverse v1.5
    Permissions 2.5.3

    I have 2 worlds: "world" and "underworld"
    In my permissions plugin folder, I have a world.yml and underworld.yml
    In EACH config file, I have a group called Admins.
    Admins have ALL permissions ('*')
    I have set myself Admin.
    Still, when I use mvtp, it says I do not have rights to access the command! What am I doing wrong? Please help!
    (I have even tried giving myself the multiverse.tp commands, no luck)

    I've only recently updated to MC 1.3. Using CB 493 and Permissions 2.5, copying over my old Portals.yml and Worlds.yml from MV 1.2, none of my portals work anymore.
    I have updated to add multiverse.tp to my permissions but still nothing happens when I walk through them, all of the portals worked back in MV 1.2 however. I can still perform all the create/select/list commands, mvlist and mvplist shows all the portals and worlds are loaded.
    Also nothing happens when walking through newly created portals.
    Manually teleporting to to the other worlds via /warp or /mvtp works but results in the following error
