    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​
    Current Version: 2.2-AB

    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:

    I used this before, but whenever I started my server grass would appear randomly floating in the sky. The grass slowly became more until I loaded my backup. Any idea if this is an effect of my mod combination, or if its this mod? If so has it been fixed? Thanks.

    i love the idea of air, in fact i wish others would do this... why? because it makes for some cool ass shit to do. To get to our nether world you have to jump through a blazing pit, and ONLY at the bottom do you actually get to the tp! Check the video for what it looks like in a page before this.

    hm, sure that this dont work? make a hole make the corners at point one two, make the portal, try it out and then fill the hole with lava and try again...

    it works... i already did it... like i said watch the video one page back! It works and its a great way for a person to get to and from the nether. I was replying to the guys post above me saying he didnt want the portals to be air.

    I'm having an issue with the /mvpc command

    I'm running permissions 2.5.2, and Multiverse 1.5

    I've given myself admin rights to eliminate any permissions issues

    I do the following

    Create a portal in game
    Do //wand (to get the wooden axe)
    left click, then right click to get the co-ors (both of which come up on the screen suggesting they've selected)
    then type /mvpc portal1

    I then get "you have not set your coordinates yet"

    What am I doing wrong please ?

    //wand is a worldedit command to give you the world edit wand... multiverse uses a wooden pick as the selection tool.

    Whenever someone dies, they cannot respawn as they get disconnected from the server

    I have set the portal name, however it will not return any value when i try to /mvpd TheWilds2 - or Create Portal - /mvpc TheWilds1 TheWilds2

    I do get the return "portal created" if i just do a /mvpc TheWilds1, and selecting portals works, i just can't set a destination and thus make it active.

    I am in Craftbukkit [440] And i assume permissions is working if i can do the other commands except set a destination.

    Any ideas?

    u must put a p for portal or a w for world.
    changing dest after creating, first selct the portal an then use /mvpd

    Since I found the bug of crashing worlds teleporting between nether / main - we've yet to crash on 493. You're welcome :p

    I would have never figured it out.. The syntax is not obvious at all, so thank you very much.

    A more clear example should be posted in the commands spoiler window:

    This is not obvious:

    DESTINATION is either a w:WORLDNAME or PORTALNAME option.

    Create Portal - /mvpc PORTALNAME DESTINATION
    Remove Existing Portal - /mvpr PORTALNAME
    Select Existing Portal - /mvps PORTALNAME
    Set Selected Portal's Destination - /mvpd DESTINATION
    Rename Portal - /mvrename PORTALNAME NEWPORTALNAME
    List Portals - /mvplist

    Sigh... Engineers and coders.......

    Us "normal" non-coder background "REGULAR" geeks have no clue about this coding type of syntax for things so clear "verbatim" examples would really help and reduce questions and confusion. Of course by the time 6 months goes by, i will know all these nuances, and won't be affected but, yet, other new comers will.

    This example: /mvpc TheWilds1 p:TheWilds2 <-- is so purely clear and helpful. I thank you very much for it. I just wish it had been in the actual text the coder listed for commands as an example instead of my having to wonder for days why it isn't working and then finally asking in the channel.

    I am using this plugin to basically recreate the SPlike nether portal system. Whenever you create a portal to the nether, it does autocreate a portal there as it should. But when you take that portal back to the default world, instead of placing you back where your original portal was, it pops you in some random location. Using version 1.4 with CB 450.

    How could it be a permissions issue if I was using OP rights and I've given myself - 'multiverse.*' permissions?

    I've updated bukkit and permissions a few days ago, they shouldn't be out of date in this regards. Any other suggestions?

    FIXED: Haha I was tired last night. I never created a permissions file for the alternate world. Everything is working perfectly now! Great plugin!

    It hammers the server so hard that it brings everything to a standstill and almost always requires a restart.
    We're running MV1.5 and CB440. We're not entirely sure what's happening to trigger it (hard to track all of our players at once) but it's really bad whenever it does happen. We also get a similar error about chunks (from when we posted a few days ago on a newer version of CB, #1325) that causes this kind of event (huge stream of errors stopping the server).

    Make sure you have a permissions file for the new world. So if you have 3 worlds you should have 3 permissions files.

    Yeh this will be fixed in the next update, I plan to do what you said which is the place where you stand becomes the destination of that portal or w/e. This will also be changeable.

    You can make a portal out of anything... thats if you're using the custom portal section which is selecting coordinates etc... it can be out of thin air.... it can be out of lava etc.... basically as soon as the player enters the bounds it acts as a teleporter, regardless of the material.

    That's strange... all I can think is theres a plugin conflicting with it... there's only one or two others with this error so I'm not sure whats causing it.

    The whole OP needs reworking... I intend to setup a Wiki for this plugin and such... Basically the plugin has moved on from the original write up etc.

    I will however say it is in the 'Detailed Command List' on the OP, however the OP is a mess so... :) Hopefully all is going well now for you.

    Yeh SPLike functionality is rather limited and was broken before release... Didn't pick up the error till it was being used... However I will say that in the version me and Protected are working on it should work alot better, however my stance still stands that the auto portal creation will be disabled by default and left to the server admin to enable... as theres just no way of telling whats at the destination spot.

    Ok this error is due to a mistake within the current version which is fixed in the new builds that should hopefully be out soonish... This error tends to occur after a /reload... in which it hasnt finished enabling before players move etc...[/code][/quote][/code][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR]
