I didn't know where to put it.

Ok, so I want to ask: Which do you prefer? Pros and cons?

Which one do you use? Eclipse or Netbeans? Or Other?
What would you reccomend to someone who hasnt used one before?

    Say downbelow!

You should take a look to IntelliJ IDEA. It's the best IDE tried.
I used long time Eclipse on my main computer and Netbeans on my netbook because netbeans is faster on slow computers.
Then I tried IntelliJ and it works great on both computers.
You can download the community edition for free but if you like it you should buy it and support the devs.

I use a Mac, and the Eclipse GUI for Mac has always been clunky and sometimes unresponsive, so I use NetBeans. I tried IntelliJ once, and I liked it. I think I stopped using it because it didn't have Maven support or something...

Did you checked the plugin repo? There are many plugins and I think there is a Maven plugin.

Personally, I use netbeans as it has a variety of languages I need all wrapped in one IDE (such as java, c++, php/js) and can even have compilers added to the IDE itself. I used eclipse before that and liked the coloration, but you can always change that within netbeans.
