    Ok spout will not load or show up in /plugins, using Bukkit Build 1000, using recommended build for Spout, and my players are pretty pissed because capes don't work so... help me fast please!

    Anyways I am coding it tonight all night :p Of course after we promote a new recommended build so that all these bugs will be fixed :)

    After i'm installed spout plugin every player gets huge lag and gets "read timed out". why?

    I wanted to note I've noticed a significant increase in lag when using Spoutcraft as compared to using the regular Minecraft launcher, though I can't really think of a reason why. I'm the only Spoutcraft user on my server, and only 3 of the plugins I use explicitly require spout to work with a person's client. Isn't it suppose to improve overall performance on a server for the people who use the server plugin and launcher combined?

    are you using the launcher, if so how did you open it?

    I'm having an Issue with the built in minimap mod where it's not working at all.

    On my windows PC I put in a modloader version of Rei's minimap and that worked fine but It doesn't seem to work on my Macbook Pro.

    *edit*

    Failed to paste it properly.

    But the Default Zan's Minimap doesn't work.

    I don't know about this. The launcher I distributed to them along with Spoutcraft automatically assigns 2GB of ram to it. How much does it need? 4? 8?

    My users are so dim that if I did that, none of them would ever be able to figure out how to download it. It's a terrible fact, but it is the truth. Spout needs to take into account how utterly, painfully stupid most average users are.

    Edit: By launcher, I just mean a special .bat file with some java settings in it, not the actual launcher itself. Sorry for the confusion. A lot of my users have .jar files associated with WinRAR or 7zip, and don't know how to re-associate them, and they certainly aren't smart enough to do a commandline launch, so the .bat file is what they need.

    How did I open it? Uh, I double-clicked the Spoutcra - Oh yeah, WOW I am dumb. There were instructions in the Spoutcraft installation guide as to what to do if you have issues.

    So I made the .bat file and ran it through that; now I have this irritating dosprompt window lingering in hte background, but my Spoutcraft launcher is running a BIT faster. My overall FPS is higher, but I still get spasmodic quarter-second spikes quite frequently.

    I'd also like to figure out a way to assign more cpu/ram/etc to the launcher/server, but my computer doesn't seem to want me to do that.

    I didn't answer your question at that time because I didn't have an answer, I personally only assign 2 gigs, but I am looking to see if I can find any memory leaks

    I give my client 1536mb, and my performance is not that great compared to the normal launcher. So I don't think its a case of not enough memory. At least for everyone.

    I got this after testing with a couple mods in the spout launcher (toomanyitems and zombe) After that I then did a fresh run of spout, AKA deleted .spout and had it regenerate, and I will still getting these errors followed by the spout client crashing.

    I've done a lot of testing with this for a few hours and I can get every single mod I can think of to work with the client side spoutcraft.
    There is only 1 issue. Audio Mod. As far as I can tell the only issue is that Spoutcraft has yo.class already in the Minecraft.Jar file. And Audio Mod replaces that. If you delete yo.class before installing Audio Mod you can play just any mod I've tried no problem. I tested with close to 30 different top of the line mods. About 3/4 of them use Modloader, and about 1/4 use Audio Mod.
    However, if you delete yo.class to install Audio Mod, servers that require Spoutcraft will deny you access. So it looks like yo.class is a pretty important file...
    If you replace yo.class with the Spoutcraft yo.class after modding Minecraft you will get a whitescreen and the client will crash. And if I swap it back for the Audio Mod yo.class everything runs perfectly again except for servers.
    I hope this helps you get one step closer to having Spoutcraft compatable with most client mods. :)

    Just me, or does this this a shit ton of RAM? As soon as it loaded, my RAM usage spiked to 500MB with no one on. I remove it and can idle at around 200MB.

    After some testing of mods (I do not recommend making back up folders at 3 in the morning thinking you will remember the difference between .spoutcraft and .spout :p) I find that too many items works pretty well, It seems the Zombe mods cause a client crash when you are dealing with mutli world. As changing from world to world is what caused the spew of errors followed by the crash listed above. (I recommend you check out http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/fu...ion-support-684-1000.13105/page-6#post-570594 if your a admin here who still wants to fly without worrying about crashes) Alos it apears the cleint runner does not recognize 64-bit windows 7 (Tells me I have unknown windows version: Windows 7) I really love this so far! Keep up the amazing work guys!

    I don't know how spout works internally but I have two people telling me that spout triggers a NPE in SignClock (have a look in my signature for a link).

    I tried to reproduce this but I couldn't, I only triggered other bugs (redstone wire not reacting, not switchable levers, ...).
    The error the people have is this:

    I'd very much appreciate it if you had an option to remove/disable optifog because I and many many many of my users find that optifog drops our fps to be unplayable. :(

    Indeed. Many of my users have, when trying either Spout or a vanilla client modified with Opti-Whatever, informed me that it drastically reduced their overall performance to the point of being nearly unplayable.

    Optifine is awesome, but it's a big pain if you have a slower, older computer. (Despite claims to the contrary).

    Okay so my searching has failed me, is there any way to get this to work with other mods? there is one in particular that several of my users use; GLSL Shaders (mostly since its a recommended mod on my site). I just want to know if there is a way to get them to work together. I've tried several different hand imports as well as using MCPatcher but to no avail. I personally will pick GLSL over this since its a more... Aesthetically appealing mod. But I'd very much like a way to use them together.

    What i would like to see when and if spout gets support for new blocks,

    1. Microcubes aka eightblocks
    2. Slopes and other shapes.
    3. Chairs tables lamps and more.
    4. Flowers trees and new plants.
