    Does the spout launcher have HD Texture Packs enabled? If not how do I go about modding it?

    thats great news. i will try to start testing it on them as soon as its pc doesnt need it so i am kind of stuck in between wanting to play with spout and its various plugins, and my players not being able to (and not wanting to lose my shaders and minimap but those are less important).

    thanks again (and a million more times) for all your work, and patience dealing with us end users...some of us can be pretty stupid/demanding at times. i have no idea how you dont get mad and just walk away or tell everyone to f'off and learn to read the docs =\

    How could i install this as a client mod instead of using the launcher? I would like to keep my flymod and optifine and with the launcher i cant have other mods :(

    It's not that with the launcher you can't, we simply do not recommend using other client mods with Spoutcraft because of conflicting class files. Most client mods modify the same class files as Spoutcraft does, so you can't use both.

    The launcher can me modded overtime through plugins (that have yet to be created). Since it's been out like a week, give it a little bit and all the functionality you love (and more) will be available.

    And yet for some strange reason, the Zans Minimap mod doesn't work on here :p I know you say don't mod it, but you know people will, and if they complain and have modded it and you don't help them it's their own fault I guess, but I examined the files before installing it, hoping it might support the minimap, saw the class file and assumed it did, no luck I guess

    The launcher will not have plugins... -_- The Launcher merely LAUNCHES the client.

    Most people don't even compare the classes, they just toss the mods in there and fire it up to see if it works.

    fair enough, well I check to make sure adding files into a jar won't break or overwrite things that are meant to do important things, since I used to be a programmer, and hate throwing things together and having them explode in new and unexpected ways.

    I know you're not technically supporting it, but I don't suppose you can think of any reason why it wouldn't work while everything else about the client seems to be working normally after injecting it? It's the only thing I've stuck in there...

    How to use it with "better gras"? I mean the thing from the mcpatcher. I know it allready has the HDFix but not the gras :(

    im gonna take a wild guess and say this is the problem. it has been stated numerous times that bukkitcontrib/spout basically hates modloader and is going to replace it/make it obsolete/kick it in the teeth. try removing it and see what happens.

    At the looks of thing sproutcraft is going to need a mods page where users can turn mods on and off for single player use.
    and the servers well would override that but i don't see why people would want to use sproutcraft for SP in the first place they should be using the normal launcher for that. Sp mods will need to be recoded as server side plugins a lot of people don't seem to be understanding that and are asking about a lot of SP mods. i can understand the questions about mods that improve the client but things like clay soldiers and better grass are 99% irrelevant for this topic.

    personally i think its about time i got stuck in and started to learn java its just a scary task when you have very tiny support network. see if i cant get a few simple bukkit plugins down pat then hopefully make some thing using sprout :D

    the spout team are working on a mod api to replace modloader. it will be out at some point fairly soon and all the mods people know and love will likely be ported/recreated to work with it, and thus bukkit/smp.

    Any one else having issues with sounds not playing for spoutcraft? Just wondering as its an odd issue I'm having and I haven't seen other reports of it.

    I don't think that every Member of a server wants to give his account password in you client. Can you change it so how it was in Bukkit Contrib?

    @striker890 I have checked the jar my self it dose nothing more than pass it on to the minecraft login server.
    the way bukkitcontrib was done was very confusing for many players and the new launcher is a far better idea. don't like it don't use it simple but I would trust afforess with my house. over many many months iv seen the amount of work hes put into the minecraft community. that reminds me where the hell is that donate button?

  26. loving what spout brings to the server and nice work with the launcher changes allowing for saving of password and such but may i ask when SP mods will be allowed in the server for transfer to the clients just a general question no rush as i understand development of an idea can take a while lol

    Is it the spoutcraft files or the launcher (client) that updates? I manually installed spoutcraft on my normal .minecraft install and I want to know if I will have to manually update it or if it can possibly update itself?

    Thanks, I already sorted out the problem. It didnt like modloader + craftbukkit w/it already added. got it working now :)
