    Yeah, I think an option would be best too.

    Not really sure... Only reasons I can really think of are other client mods or outdated server version.

  6. I am really really sorry, but could anybody post sample code of ItemWidget placed on screen, which is not scaling with minecraft window? I am not able to do that. I've tried set anchor and min/max sizes, fixed property and so on.. It's last unsolved thing in my plugin for whole time I am developing this... I would be so thankful.

    Are the spoutcraft launcher update mirrors offline?

    My launcher prompts me to do an update, goes to 0% looking up mirrors, then says "Download Interrupted!"

    I am using DEV mode. Please advise.

    No, there will never be support for other mods. Once the Spoutcraft client addon API is usable, you'll see ports and clones of popular client mods.

    It should still update as it resorts to ci.getspout.org as a backup. The mirror list was moved, but there is currently an error that I need to look into for the mirrors to work.

    Not rly, i am using Misas 64x64, but also get that error switching to a 32x32 Pack, it first showed up with Spout 510 btw. Same for my Wife. Same builds.

    Spoutcraft hangnign and frrzes if i close it. javaw.exe don't end in the taskmanager, it stay there.
    Since SC 4xx and now with 748 still available. SC allocate 2,5G of my RAM (128px textpack).

    Latest client version may not always be compatible with the version of Spout you are running on the server. We'd have to start storing somewhere exactly which builds are compatible with each other.

    This should really be under plugin requests or something...

    So then what if clients update to a hotfix and then they can't get on your server while you are away for days?

    Your argument is of course valid , but i need a way to force an update - my server is accessible only by spoutcraft , and older client versions cause some problems. My server is administered on daily basis. But if the force option could be enabled /disabled whenever necessary it would not be an issue even if all admins are offline.

    Rails for Walls and Ceilings
    Request

    I don't think this project will be very hard, just a matter of rotating the mounting degrees of rails.


    Having walls connect to ceilings and floors using the same ramp as with a normal rail, with the track at a 45 degree angle. And the same for walls up to the ceiling.

    If you are riding a ceiling rail and it abruptly ends AND/OR A special type of block the rail is mounted on is reached, you fall down, landing on dirt, hole, other track, etc.; yet you would be rotated to be the normal vertical, as if you'd taken a jump.

    If a wall rail ends then you would be turned around, going down the path.

    Gravity could be done anyway you choose, ie: rather than have normal downward gravity, gravity no longer exists if you're on a ceiling/wall.


    I would code this, but I have done nothing before and think this is a bit more than a project for me. Any result would be greatly appreciated though! Thank you very much for at least giving me your interest and time long enough to read this through!

    Many players of my server complain about the poor performance of SpoutCraft.
    My impression is the same. The loading time is very very longer, much more RAM allocation and more lags. If I want to close Spoutcraft, the windows hangs/freeze and won't close. -> Killing via Taskmanager.

    The normal MC Launcher is leaner, but has not so cool functions as SC. Next Month i want to switch my server to Scpoutcraft only.

    One of my players was banned out to test that from his laptop :D
    He say if he press the "Optimze Video setting", then minecraft works better with more fps. You're right. BUT not all time long, then the fps number breaks a little bit. If he press "Optimize..." again, it is again better.

    He asked if it possible to associate the shortcuts with an Option or this special "Optimize.." setting.
    Maybe a refresh effect? So he said, approx. all 30 minutes he press the button.

    Do you think it were good to link shortcuts to options especially for low laptops/netbooks?

    Good work on the latest update, the helping with commands is a really nice addition, aswell as the previous chat box manager, with scrolling up and down!

    how do you copy? I know paste is ctrl+v, but actually selecting what someone posted? i.e. a link

    Hm strange. The big number of my users have problems with Spout (Performance).

    btw i found a mistake in the Options in SC.
    Preloaded Chunks: The comment says "OFF - after 5m new chunks will be loaded"
    => no "OFF" setting available, only '0', or higher

    Is anybody else having problems with sand and gravel missing its gravity and physics? It behaves like a normal block for me.

    Possibly a minimum client build number for the server. i.e in config if forcing spout can force that the spout client is at least x or higher?

    Your server used up all of your RAM. Not a plugin problem. Get more RAM, or limit your playerbase.

    Probably because it resets all the block rendering, which means for the minute or two it takes to reload the block rendering, a TON less blocks are on the screen. Tell them to keep the fog distance on low. This sucks, but it's what you've got to do.

    That's a reasonable solution.

  31. Ok please spout devs fix this issue as its getting on our wick big time
    the same FPS issue when loading chunks iv tried EVERYTHING
    its defo a chunk loading issue as when standing still is fine and sweet at 110 fps the minute u move and chunks load its lags like hell and fps drops to between 15 and 30 fps with chunk updates of 25 to 40 this is poor as its gets very very very very laggy to the point is unusable we have tried RB builds Dev builds and to have it as the only plugin on our server same issue everytime for all my machines and most people that connect to the server granted there is some peeps on our server do not have any issue but the other 75% do and is not good in any way shap or form
    Please sort this out and dont ask me to press that optimize button again as it dont work with the chunk loading issue
    side note even tried with default graphics and our normal 256x256 texture pack same thing when chunks load
    EDIT
    RB build worse for it than the DEV builds so dev is better and heading in correct direction
