  1. I need a Co-Dev to help me with some plugins for my server, these will be specialising in handling games/events across several bukkit instances.

We use BitBucket for our code, and sometimes GitHub, so you will need an IDE with Git intergration. We mainly use TeamSpeak for quick communication.

(Please note, this could also be an optional "Dev" position in our server)

    You will need:
    - Experience with the Bukkit API
    - Reasonable experience in Java to the point where you don't have to google how to do a "for" loop etc
    - Be able to be fairly active, and able to contribute ideas as well as code.

This will be a team-based coding project, so its not coding alone.

Please let me know if you are interested and we can discuss further.

Note to mods: Again, I've reposted my thread as i haven't had any explanation why my last one was deleted.

I haven't done too much with the bukkit API, I've made a simple sethome/home/back plugin as well as a road making plugin here:

I'd like to get into being able to do more, I've had over a 6months java experience with over 4 years of coding experience (Formal education and on my own) and am currently a Junior at a university studying CS. I'd love to get some more real experience, please let me know if I can be of any help.

I have not used bitbucket, but have used github, I have teamspeak and a working mic. I've never used an IDE for git development though, always been command line/emacs push/pulls for github.

Please let me know through a PM or comment post if I'll be able to help at all, thanks.

  3. Molten Hey, all help will be really valued. To be honest, you probably won't need to know much Bukkit API for the plugins that i'm doing, theres actually fairly little api calls in there, and one part is editing an existing plugin, so its kindof "bug-fixing" if you like.

You don't need to use git within the IDE, i personally just find it easier to push/merge/commit via that. Bitbucket also works exactly like github, except you don't get the "fixes" keyterms in the commits etc...

    A few questions...

    1) What is your timezone? (I'm GMT +0.00)
    2) What time(s) are you able to discuss/code (just for reference so i can try and get on at the same times, or have someone who can be on at the same time)

I'm from UK, and i go to school, so i don't get home until about 4:30-5pm each day.

Also, thanks for the reply & interest!

TruDan I'm in GMT -8 I think, PST.
I don't have class from 11am - 3pm everyday but tuesday so anytime then is fine, other than that we can talk about it and I can see what I have going on/what you have going on.

  5. Molten -8 o.o That actually isnt that bad i guess, because the 11am-3pm works out a great time for me too.

So, i guess if you're happy so far, and willing to discuss the plugins and stuff, it'd be great to have your help!

TruDan Sounds good to me, let me know how and I'll be down! Can I get some examples of what I'd be helping to work on?

I can do it. I primarily code private plugins for a few small networks. PM me and we can discuss anything you'd like.
