CraftBukkit for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 now available

A new CraftBukkit Recommended Build (#1000) with Minecraft 1.7.3 support is now available. This new build contains a fix for a huge memory leak (resulting in significantly improved performance), a rudimentary Piston API and a built-in permissions system, among other things (for more information, look at the Recommended Build announcement thread linked below).

Will plugins break with this build?
Provided the developers of the plugins you are using are keeping up with the development of Bukkit, all your plugins should work fine. However, there are possibly changes included in this build that could break some plugins, though this is highly unlikely to happen.

Known Issues:

• Signs, chests, furnaces, etc. sometimes wipe under certain circumstances. This is a vanilla Minecraft 1.7 bug that we're still investigating.

Updating to this Recommended Build is highly recommended as it contains, among many other things, a fix for a huge memory leak that should result in better performance overall. As always, please backup your server before updating, just in case.

as they said in other posts , they wont say or post any updates till 1.8 realses as people was asking for bukkit for the pre 1.8 hope this helps

Yes please could we have 1.8 bukkit client my server is screwed without it like i have to use vanilla to just get on my server.

Listen guys posting over and over asking about when Bukkit's RB for Beta 1.8 will be released is pointless.

1. Asking questions makes the developers check the forums over and over, making the development process that much slower
2. Most if not all of the developers are either in HighSchool, College or work a 9-5 job meaning that they aren't here to work on Bukkit until after school / work.

I know its frustrating that stuff doesn't happen with the snap of your fingers, I really do. But continually asking the same question over and over one post after another is kinda pointless no?

Herp derp.. %appdata%-->.minecraft-->bin-->remane "minecraft" to "minecraft-1.8"-->rename "minecraft-1.7.3" to "minecraft" herp derp.

This sounds like the thousand or so slightly dim ppl that have tried to connect to my server since 6 a.m.

 

I just tell the clients of my server to not update or make a backup til i give the go.
No one complains, everyone waits. Its simple as that and no need to be all "my server is broken, work faster (for free)" -_-

Same thing I told the people on my server. We update when it is ready. not before.

 

I dont mean that i can get on my server it is just crap as i dont have my server running on bukkit as of 1.8 it with clan forge so i can do anything to it

So it will not take long until we can move from "Where is Bukkit for 1.8" to "Why is Bukkit for 1.8 full of bugs?" and at the same time "Why my plugins broken? You fail!".

 

Its every players dream to do so.

Said about an hour ago... wait what? Where can I go to get it! The spreadsheet says it's 100% done and according to that it should be ready. Am I missing something or are there a lot of bugs or what?
