Include a list of the peaceful messages, maybe? I am Admin on a Team Fortress 2 server, and there is a command that toggles "happy mode" on the player. It makes them say happy things instead of rage, and I always thought that Minecraft needed one. Great job!

 

Ooh, a command for it would be pretty cool. I also might have it add 3 default messages as I understand if you leave the file blank, it can give off some nasty errors :S

 

Some good default messages might be, "I love the admins! I wonder if they would kick me!" or "I am taking anger management classes." or "I am trying against all odds to speak in caps, even though I will never be able to!"

New Features:

• Default messages (Just so users won't accidentally leave the file blank which can cause some nasty errors)
• /happymode [name] command that will force a user into saying "peaceful" sayings

 

Sounds pretty cool. A suggestion would be, that like, when you type something full-caps, it automaticly de-captivates the sentence. For example:
THANKS FOR THE PLUGIN!!!!
Becomes:
Thanks for the plugin!!!!

Love the plugin! I dislike caps completely, and what miniboes suggested I would really love too. Another thing could you maybe add support for colors in the chatmessages.txt file?

 

Mmm maybe a option just to turn caps into lowercase one hit enough upper cases? Due to banticaps not being updated.

Can I please suggest a 'minium number of chars' before people get replaced? Something that lets people go 'HA!' or 'LOL' or 'WTF?'

First of all, I love your plugin!
Second, I have some suggestions.
My players have problems when they try typing a smiley. For example XD or O.O, which are mostly caps, and it replaces their message with something embarrasing(my personal messages ), which is kinda annoying. And it would be great if you could add something in the config where we could add exceptions.

Also, they have figured out that typing THIS!!!!!!!! will not replace the message because "!" is not counted as a capital letter, which actually makes the chat look worse than it would if they typed only like THIS.

I have updated PeacefulRage and even merged it with my other plugin RageMute to create SmoothChat. I have added in that "minimum character" suggestion that many of you have been asking for, and all (or at least most) previous bugs should be fixed now!
