    What is OKChat?
    OKChat is twenty plugins in one. If it's chat related, it can do it.

    OKChat supports Permissions, PermissionsEX, bPermissions and PermissionsBukkit.
    Where can I download OKChat?
    The latest version of OKChat can always be found here.
    Additionally, OKChat comes with an auto-updater which will download updates to the /plugins/OKChat/update/ folder.
    How do I set up OKChat?
    After you've extracted the .jar to your server's /plugins/ directory and have restarted your server OKChat will generate a config.yml file, which can be found in the /plugins/OKChat/ directory.
    This configuration file is fully commented and should be easy to understand for anyone.​

    Do the crashes happen when ANYONE tries to chat, or just certain people? If certain people, can you give me their EXACT usernames and/or nicknames please?

    Basically its a random occurance, It seems when some people login the nickname color gets removed and is replaced with ?color in place of the colors.... And then it crashes. It is completely random on when it happens but it is something to do with colored nicknaming... I think

    Ok I figured out my problem was it had too many colors, and it just cut off my name. Is there any way to make it so a name can be longer on the playerlist?

    I'm using the latest craftbukkit (dev) MC v 1.2 and your plugin works great except I'm trying to disable your plugin from modifying the playerlist (TAB)

    However, it doesn't seem to work properly... It's kinda screwy and even if I have it set to "none" or "", it displays exactly what I put. It shows 'none' or ''

    Can you add a /afk cmd to stop pm and send a message to user that I'm afk?
    Also please overwrite /tell cmd.
    I've disable it, but I get an "no permission message" and it is unpleasant.

    No, it's a minecraft limitation.
    I'll get that out soon. There is currently no way to completely disable it.

    It is not Possible to change an Nickname with more than​
    3 Color Codes​
    for example:​
    &6x&4K&2o&1K&3S&5i&7i&f xKoKSii
    will not work on the TAB - List only the 3 first letters will be shown​
    &6x&4K&2o&1KSii xKoKSii
    will work with all Letters..​
    remember its only in the TAB -List​

    I was trying to make it so that everyone can talk in the OOC channel, then, when they switched to the IC channel only those players in that channel could read the text as long as they where close enough.

    However here are the problems I am having:

    1). For some reason certain player names do not show up in the player list when you hit the tab button.
    2). When we type, we can NOT see our own chat, but other people can.
    3). Everyone in OOC and IC can see all the text.

    I am not sure if there is a permission issue or spout issue or a conflicting plug problem, but I really need the help to figure this one out please.

    For 'IC', set 'world' to 'false'. If you want players to show up on the player list, give them "okchat.list.show". As for the issue with seeing your own chat: update to 3.0.7.

    Iv'e been trying to get a specific setup on my server for a long time, I've tried every chat plugin, and although this one comes the closest I don't think it can do what I want.

    Heres what I'm trying to do.
    I have multiple worlds, spawn, freebuild, and flatbuild.
    I want two channels, a general channel, and an admin channel.

    I would like to have it so the general channel allows players in the spawn world to talk to other people in the spawn world and to everyone in the admin channel but NOT in general chat in the other worlds.

    for example from the view of a player in the spawn world:
    [Spawn][General][Guest]newbie: Hello?
    [FreeBuild][AdminChat][Admin]adminguy: Hi, welcome to the server.

    For the admin channel I would like players to see everything, and talk to everyone in every channel.

    The same conversation from the view of a player in the admin chat:

    [FreeBuild][AdminChat][Admin]adminguy: Hi, welcome to the server.
    [FreeBuild][General][Builder]tom: I have to go.
    [FlatBuild][General][Builder]fred: Aww, bye tom!

    I was wondering if this is possible with this plugin, and is so can anyone help figure out how to set it up?

    That's a Minecraft bug, not a OKChat bug. If you are on a mac, it does that for some reason.

    it seems like you can only see someone in that list if he/she is in the same permissions group...

    I am getting double login messages with CB 1795 and OKChat 3.0.7

    Actually, it was doing it in 3.0.6 and CB RB 1.0.1 as well

    I get the customised OKChat login message as well as the default console all yellow login message

    When a user leaves, it handles it normally with only the OKChat leave message.


    I don't have any other plugins that modify the login messages, and just to be sure, I checked the config file for each plugin and searched for "join".

    I also have a multiverse-okchat-permissionEX question. Is OKChat able to apply prefixes from a multi-world permission setup? Cause I can't seem to make it work.


    Seems to be an OKChat issue not picking up prefixes from within a "worlds:" permission setting. Chatmanager, which comes with Permissions works just fine.

    Is there a way to extend the number of characters when players hit the TAB button to see who is on. Currently it looks like there are 14 characters but I have seen other servers use like 24.

    I used to use okchat but I had to switch because I run a faction server and players would get confused when people switched factions and telling who was their enemy. Any chance you might make a %faction% variable?

    This plugin is great. But I came across this issue when I was playing around with it: I want a channel called Global to be protected so I set its protected value to true. After doing this I am still able to join this channel. I use PermissionsEx and have only the following permission: okchat.subscribe. By using the /sub Global command I can enter the channel and talk in it. Shouldn't the plugin prevent me from doing so unless I have the okchat.channel.Global permission?
