For the last 2 months or so I have been having this one world called flat_world constantly regenerating itself every time I start the server. It was used in a plugin I had a long time ago, which is long gone now. Every time I start up the server I have been immediately deleting it. I am done with that though, and I am trying to get it to go away for good. I have tried so many things. the /mvdelete, deleting the world folder while the server is stopped, etc. When I do these things, the world is different every time, which is proof that I actually did delete the world, and it is regenerating itself. The server log when starting up the server isnt too helpful.

And heres the section where it looks like the world is being created.
I have no clue what plugin is doing it.

Have you tried: /mv remove flat_

Do what LiLChris said, if that doesn't work, try removing the plugin and restart the server

Had you checked your bukkit.yml and worlds.yml for the world info? Also, make sure you change the configs when the server is not running.

Its definitely not in the bukkit.yml, and its only in the worlds.yml before I do the /mvremove command after a restart.

Try stopping the server and checking the worlds.yml. if it is in there again, manually remove the config, save, then start the server. Let me know if that helps.

I just stopped the server, deleted the world folder, deleted the worlds.yml and started it back up. I got this in the log

I cant see what is causing this. CleanroomGenerator would have been my first choice, but since it is a WGEN plugin and not a stand alone plugin because it requires multiverse core to use. I dont know if plot-me would do this, but you said it is just a superflat world, thus plot me can't be the problem.

The world it generates actually isnt flat. Its a normal survival world.

    well, that was anti-climatic...
    Code:
    level-name=world

I was suspecting it to say "flat" but I suppose that would have been too easy. I guess, for sake of troubleshooting, remove ALL plugins minus permissions and essentials. Start world with folder deleted. Then stop, add a few, restart. See if this points to the uncooperative plugin. If the world generates with the permission and essentials, then its a bukkit config issue. if not, then its one of your above plugins.

Ill try that later when less players are online. If it does turn out to be a bukkit issue, what should I do?

It would be a bukit config issue. However, your bukkit.yml is not reflecting the world being generated. Can you just copy your world to a local PC and run a test version?

Ok yea Im doing that now. I tried it with just perms and essentials and the world was not created. Now this is getting kind of fun haha. It shouldnt be too long until I track down the plugin ;p
so far ive determined it isnt any of the following:
    BiomeEdit
    Cleanroomgenerator
    essentials
    logblock
    modifyworld
    plotme
    worldedit
    worldguard
    whooshing well
    logblock
    world border
    simple region market
    protocol lib

    did you figure it out?

hm this is getting extremely strange!!! Ok so for the first batch of plugins I added, it included multiverse. The flat_world didnt generate. Then I added these ones

    whooshing well
    logblock
    world border
    simple region market
    protocol lib
    towny

and then it started making the world again. You would think that would mean its one of those plugins, right?? Wrong, i deleted all 6 of them, and it still made the world. Then I deleted multiverse again, even tho it didnt make the world before. This time the world did not generate. So then I delete the world folder, and remove flat_world from the mv world.yml, and what do you know? No flat_world. I do the EXACT SAME THING on the real server, but the world came back. I even deleted multiverse, and it still generated a flat_world. I am stumped

    Bump :(
