so we can have
vanish.silentjoin: true
vanish.silentleave: true

so the person with that would be completely vanished

 

I'll outline a sequence of events:
Player joins server, has permission vanish.silentjoin: true, so no join message
Player plays on server.
Player quits server. No quit message.


This already happens. No need for a second value.

The only situation that doesn't currently exist is:

Player joins server, announces either on join or later via "Player has joined server."
Player quits, no quit message.

I can't think of a situation where you'd want that.

This is not true for me. There is still a quit message even when i am vanished.

 

@1nd1g0 what version of VanishNoPacket are you using? There were a few issues in previous versions before 1.6.9 but I thought I ironed out the bugs by this point.

okay updated to the latest version.
restarted server. i vanished. logged into my alt and joined. i disconnected on the account i was vanished. it showed i left the game....

 

Did you /vanish or /vanish fakequit before doing that, or did you have vanish.silentjoin and it said you had joined silently in chat.

 

but can you just understand that i dont want to do /vanish fakequit everytime. i like the vanish.silentjoin because i dont need to manually enter the command myself.

How about this. show a screenshot from both screens of what happens from join to quit (obviously screenshot just before quitting for the invisible player).

What permissions does the alt account have?

 

ok I have just added this for my admins/mods and it works for ops (obviously) But even after adding the toggle nodes so mods can toggle vanish off and on as well a few others it still does not currently work for my mods.

i never did /vanish fakequit
i just tried it and went on my alt and i didnt see the log out message.
but since its a command ill just have to do it again if the server restarts or i reload the plugins.
you see i dont want that.
i dont want a fake quit at all. (dont want a log out message)
why cant you just import a vanish.silentquit or something so i dont need to do that

@1nd1g0 If you refuse to answer my questions, I refuse to help you. I already explained that the feature works the way you described it and doesn't need an addition, and you are clearly doing something incorrect. But again, I can't help you until you help me understand what you're doing.

This was working before but after latest mine craft crash alot of my things werent working and i have had lots to do with fixing so doing everything i can XD

If you want permissions working you need to be using one of the permissions managers that isn't abandoned and outdated. Any one that supports 'superperms' the bukkit implementation will work great. Examples:

PermissionsBukkit
PermissionsEx
bPermissions

And, if you still have other outdated plugins that require perms 3, each of those has a "bridge" plugin that will let you continue using the old plugins without issue.


@1nd1g0 I'm not helping you if you aren't answering my questions. I'm sorry, but I don't think we're going to make this work with your attitude.

 

That's minecraft.net fail, something that they are good for every few weeks (at least). In any case, it has nothing to do with VNP. You can be tired of it but that part at least you should complain about it on the MC support forum.

 

@mbaxter why cant you just implement a vanish.silentquit node. itll make life easier.

Ya i saw that it may have been abandoned. Does this work for like permissions plus/ Ive noticed they are updating etc and have heard good things about them.

I never told you that. I told you it works with silentjoin and as long as you don't reveal yourself it continues to work.
