   Umm, from what I can remember there should be some form of text document with the names of every NPC you have created, an example from my server is:
   Mage_guide =
   
   Next to the = you can then put the URL of a desired skin, make sure its in the proper format though, just the skin in the usual flat layout.

   when i left out the png-end it said it's no png,but now nothing happens

   I think that should be fine, and presumeably just put that link in exactly as it is. Ill give you an example from mine.
   
   Selena=http\://minecraft-skins.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Forest-Fairy-Nymph.png
   
   and that works fine.
