Hmm, I just realized that it's most likely not a 7200 RPM drive. Oh well.

Nah, it is a 7200 RPM Seagate drive, which is what I got the last 2 times.

It pushes like 95 MB/s as a single drive and 110-120 in RAID1.

Showing up in my account as active, but it doesn't seem to be fully online... I'm assuming that they're setting it up or something.

And it's here! I'll start moving things over... I have soo much stuff to install and move.

Disk speed is ~40MB/s faster than the old box, network to cachefly is insane (but to dallas/sjc it's slower than my old one). CPU seems nice, I'll need to test it out. Ping is about 20ms higher for me, so it's very good.

Network is unstable, I've timed out of SSH several times. Hopefully this won't continue.

    --- 199.19.94.210 ping statistics ---
650 packets transmitted, 632 packets received, 2.8% packet loss
    round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 47.226/52.281/201.667/11.242 ms

    Maybe it's over.

    Wtf, timing out of SSH?

Have never had that issue over the 4 months that I have been with them. Although I did notice one thing.......... my first server utilized Cogent and this one uses Hurricane Electric.....and is for sure a bit different.

I take that back. I get 2.8% packetloss from my house to your server. I get 0% loss to mine, for some reason.

Hmm, interesting. Do you think I should send in a ticket?

Hmmm, I would probably wait 1 hour and if it still times out, etc after that, then I would open one.

    Yeah, I'll wait.

Time to transfer 7.4GB of backups... This'll take a while. Well, maybe 15 minutes.

Make that three hours. WTF, 700KB/s transfer from old server to new one.

    LOL.

Is it the old server uploading slow or the new one downloading slow? Maybe it is bad routes.

    No clue, it's going from 200-500KB/s... :(

These are all ~200MB files... It shouldn't be so slow at transferring a simple zip...

You should put up a testfile on the Yesup server. I want to see what speeds I can get.

    Holy crap.............

Hetzner: --.-K/s (so slow it won't even register no more)
    Kiloserve VPS: 45 K/s
Yesup: Was doing 108 MB/s but then it froze.

    Definitely a huge issue.

Crap, I too am having lag issues. My ssh keeps freezing.

Oh and now it timed out like you said.

Yep, almost 100% packetloss to every location on earth ATM.

Every other person that is with Yesup also seems to be having the same issue.

Same with me. Although I think I'll just move files and set it up tonight (assuming that it's up), and move the Minecraft server itself/change the DNS tomorrow.

Trying again, this time with rsync... Come to think of it, I should ditch scp for my backup solution and just use rsync.

    JohnTheRipper
Woohoo, that was fast. 70mbps peak per file... And rsync worked well...

    Woohoo.

Yeah, I just looked and supposedly it was an issue with one of their upstream providers.

Am able to connect now :D

    Nice!

Going through my checklist... Half this stuff I have to move right when I change the DNS over... Dammit...
