Only I can access my server, nobody outside my house can. Please help me. Here are the specs:

    [torch] Latest version of bukkit
    [torch] Runs on ubuntu
[torch] I haven't downloaded any virus protection it's only what came with Ubuntu 11.10
    [torch] It's Port-forwarded properly, I checked

I will keep posted if you need any more information

    [diamond] Thank you in advanced[diamond]

You can't connect with localhost? And you're on the same computer as the server is running on?

No I am on my laptop that is connected to the same router.

should localhost only work from the server computer, I probably look like a newb now.

I don't have The game on the server

localhost only works on the same computer as the one the server is being hosted on.

Are your IPs static? (both external and server computer)

I do not have a static IP on my laptop, nor my server.

Make sure that in your router it is static and that the server computers ip is static

Sorry I am not giving out my external IP address because for all I know you could be a hacker. But you can be certain that I am using my external IP address and not my internal.

Actually, he could use your external IP to test to make sure your port is open, so we can be sure you've done everything you need.

You'd need to give out your IP to anyone you want to play on your server anyway. With proper firewall/updating/security, you should be relatively safe.
