Best Permissions Plugin and Chat Plugin for Factions

Hello, previously I used PEX but now I want to have factions. I need to still be able to have prefixes. This is an example of what I need:

<GroupName><FactionName><PlayerName><Message>

Should I use regular bukkit permissions or bpermissions or pex? And i need a good chat plugin with it too.

What permissions and chat manager plugins are other factions using?

PermissionsEx or bPermissions AND Herochat ( for channels if you want ) should be used. I use PermissionsEx, but bPermissions is definitely just as good.
They take a bit configuration, but you will get used to it. Check out both their Bukkit dev pages.

 

Would I use permissionsEx chat manager plugin?

 

essentials can do <group>,<name>,<message> but probably won't support factions

 

If i just dont use essentials chat and use pex with chat manager, would that work?

 

EssentialsCHAT and CHATMANAGER do the same thing: chat. So you can only use one. Both those plugins support prefixes, suffixes, and other things, but zero channels :/ At least with Chatmanager. Herochat I just switched to, and channels are definitely worth it.

 

I think herochat is outdated. Is there any others I shoulds use? If possible I really dont want to use essentials

Okay, if you, codename_b were a regular user, would you switch from PEX to bPermissions?

No I mean if you weren't the creator, would you prefer it to PermissionsEx?
It's working, I just hate you don't have '*' . But, I understand why it isn't there.
All plugins with plugin.* will work with bPermissions right?

 

If you want all permissions, give op. Problem solved.

All plugins that use plugin.* as a parent node properly according to superperms spec will work.

 

Am I doing something wrong or...
when I give bukkit.command.* or bukkit.* neither work.

 

Yeah, that's probably because those aren't defined parent nodes.
