Wait? so you are asking the mod to be recreated as only a plugin without the need for the client side mod?
almost positive this is not possible through bukkit. If your players want to use it they need to have the client mod.
Yes and no, I have created guns using spout for the different textures. So it is possible to do custom/new items to a degree, but this isn't possible cause you would need to create a new kind of vehicle. I believe it may be possible to get the client mod to work with bukkit, but I wont even begin to attempt that and I highly doubt the people that would try would do it for free.
i looked on the link and it says that they have a way to make it compatible so @TrickSet just do that.
A few days ago I found a link on my PC and bookmarked it, but i'm currently at my phone. I'll give the link tomorrow. Now i'm gonna get to sleep Goodnight! Ps: the client stuff must be installed at the client for as far i know, but i still have to check that!
As far as I know, when that plugin talks about being compatible with multiplayer, it means compatible with the server.jar from mojang, NOT from bukkit. Bukkit does NOT support custom blocks or items in anyway, except through spout (and even with spout, I'm not sure you can have custom blocks yet).
@amunro Not if you only have a server plugin. But this is also with a client mod, and in that way it IS possible. And also with spout: SpoutMaterials. But remember: it aren't jar plugins like normal Bukkit plugins. You have to install them like mods: move the files in the craftbbukkit.jar Good luck!
Exactly Jasper is correct as far as I know and every time this is asked for its a straight no as a plugin. Requires custom server jar and client jar. I've even thought this was possible at first before I understood a bit more about how Minecraft and Bukkit work. I don't think believe so, or at least whenever the things the mod does are called to the client it will make you or the server crash cause it wouldn't recognize it.
If you wanted to use spout, you could texture a boat like a small plane, then make the boat have the ability to fly. You could then have it so when you press a certain key (again, with spout) you fire arrows at the other "planes".
wouldn't making the boat fly either glitch up like crazy or wind up breaking a lot of things? besides changing the texture would still have it on the boat model, you would need to need a mod to add in a plane model.
there IS a plugin for that, however it does not work... ill edit with link soon it means minecarts can fly and boats can sink well, boats sunk controbally so its like subs and u can come to surface again....
