Port forwaring help!

i went through a billion tutorials and according to all of them im doing everything right but when i check if the port is open it says that its "closed/notreachable" how do i open up the port? i am using a Netgear WNR1000v2 router i have my port settings at "TCP/UCP" the port is 25565 and the ip is 192.168.1.4

please help!!!!

I think you have to type the IP address in your internet explorer URL (in your case 192.168.1.4) and it will come up with a little box that requires a username and password. If you can't get the password, there should be a little "reset" or "reset to factory defaults" button on your router. this will reset it to factory defaults. The username and password should be admin, but the password can sometimes be password too.

Also, I have this problem too, but i cant find the reset button lol.

hopefully after following that tutorial you'll get it working.

 

Make sure you forward the correct ip. (The ip of your computer and not some other computer on your network)

 

i just added the service to my windows network connections bot TCP and UCP anyone wanna tell me if it works?
try both these ip's 5.158.102.110 and 68.32.170.239 not sure which one works cus it changed
