I downloaded the server window from Minecraft.net, and used that as a server for me and my friends using the program Hamachi. Obviously, the server creates files where the server.exe file is held. With that said, is it possible to copy that world, and put it into a Bukkit server? Because we did alot on that server world, and we don't want to lose it, but really want to run it with Bukkit. What should I do if its possible? If its not, then I guess im out of luck.
    Thanks,

  2. Ofcourse thats possible. Just backup the world. Download bukkit and put the world you've in a backup into the bukkit folder. Start server and you're done.
And next time do some search :)

I did that, started the server, and it said that I placed it in the wrong place, then it created a new world, plus a Nether. Then it gave me alot of errors

  5. Okay so you have it like this:
If your "world" is not named as WORLD as in the image above. Edit the server.properties with notepad.
There is a setting called level-name=world Edit the 'world' value to your world name.
You also can just rename your current world directory to "world".
    100% this should work.

I have it set up like that, but now No one can connect to the server. In Minecraft, it shows that it is "Connecting to the server", but then doesn't connect.

What does it take to Port Forward? And what does it do? I'm a newbie the the Server world, if you couldn't tell.

It takes nothing but a laptop and a good connection. Port Forwarding is when you do all this easy stuff so you don't need to depend on stuff like Hamachi so your friends can play.

Press the Windows Button + R and the run dialog should pop up. Type in cmd, and enter this:

    Code:
    ipcconfig

Find the Default Gateway and enter it in your web browser. The rest depends on what type of router you have.

Is there another way instead of Port Forwarding? Because my brother has the Username and Password for the router

Try the default username and password, which is:

    Code:
    user: admin
          pass: admin
Have you found out what type of router you have yet?

If I move my computer so that I can hook it up to internet through my Motem, (Wired) would I still have to "Port Forward"?

I honestly don't know at this point. Try calling your brother.

Probably too late but no you dont have to port forward on LAN. Anyway all you have to do is install the bukkit server. Make a wireless LAN network on hamachi. Copy the IPv4 address from the top of the hamachi window and paste it in the server.properties under server ip( or something like that) btw use notepad to open it. Then customize the server by changing the server.properties. After that run the server and the hamachi network and tell your friends the ip. And boom it should work
