Mobs running slow

    My server recently started growing to a rather large player base. Everything has gone smoothly except that mobs and solely mobs seem to lag when there are more than 60 people online.

    I run Minecraft on Ubuntu 10.10 with 4GB of ram for xmx, xms on an Intel core i7 3.2ghz with 8GB of ram.

    It doesn't seem to be caused by any plugins.

    Check the memory usage; you might not have enough RAM.

    Do you have a whitelist?
