This idea is mainly for 24/7 servers. If your and admin on a 24/7 server, you cannot be there at all hours of the day (Unless your some form of superhuman!). When you've built something, you might need to quit immediately and not have time to put land protection on it especially if it's large. So I thought of this! Note: I do understand you can use Worldedit, Guard and Land Protections, but this is just for quick and easy setup. Security! Should include: Arrow Sentries Guard Dogs Lasers Smoke Screen Forcefield Arrow Sentries You just place this and it will shoot any player or mob that isn't you. You can also do /sentry (playername here) to make it not shoot other certain players. This will not shoot moderators. Guard Dogs If your a moderator or higher, you can give your dog an iron ingot and it will enter guard mode. Guard dogs will wander around their surroundings (a bit further than normal dogs) and take down any players or mobs. Lasers This will be similar to the current laser mod. If your going to design this plugin you should get his permission first. These will be simple lasers that when placed will always be on; no shutting down at all. They will have to be destroyed by a moderator to get removed. Smoke Screen I got inspiration from SDK's gun mods. When I was playing with this mod I found that the smokescreen was a super effective way of making it impossible to see. To use this you get a machine called a 'smoker'. You place it down on the floor. It will start with a 5x5x5 radius but if you do /smoker 'x'x'x'x'x' then right click the smoker it will change radius. This could be useful for hiding a new project that you want to reveal when your done, without the hassle of covering it with blocks. You can toggle this by using /smoker and right clicking the one you want to turn on/off. Forcefield This will be use a similar command to the Smoke Screen. It will look like a blue tinted torch. You place it on the ground, and it stars of with a 5x5x5 radius. If you want to extend it then you do /forcef 'x'x'x'x'x'. The forcefield will give half a heart damage every second and will push the player backwards. If the player even manages to get through The forcefield, It will do a critical hit on them by dealing the same amount of damage as their health. Again, you can toggle this by using /forcef and right clicking it. Please suggest any other simple and quick-to-use Security ideas. PS: Will anyone be able to make this?
A lot of the stuff seems to require custom items. It would be a spout plugin if anything. But yea, most of it is possible.
Lol, this request should be called SpyCraft... but in all seriousness as Zaros said before this would require Spout as Bukkit itself does not support such additions. Goodluck with your request!
