PingCraft - ping your players!: Version: v2.0 From now on you can ping the online players with /ping [player] or al youronline players with /pinglist Features: ping 1 person ping al online players Download The Test Plugin Changelog: Version 1.5 added /pinglist changed the Priority to monitor Version 2.0 Made it configable for windows and linux how do I Config it Trow the .jar in your plugins folder, start the server, open the newly made plugins/PingCraft/config.txt and put in the parts arounf your ping command that you don't want Example In windows/linux go to your terminal/commandpromp type ping bukkit.org. Look for the parts aroung the responce time (in linux ping bukkit.org: 64 bytes from xdr.me (174.36.220.118): icmp_seq=8 ttl=51 time=108 ms so startSplit=time/= and the endSplit= (watch for tha / before the = , it is there because it is part of the strign and not an other input)) I hope you enjoy it. If you have any problems, just post it here and I will havea look at it what I can do. p.s who wants the /pingwhois command in this plugin? And what should it output in 1 or 2 lines?
So going to try this! Is there anyway you could add a /list feature? something like /ping list That shows everyones current latiency? I guess that would be a little more complicated =S Thought I would ask. Keep it up! --- merged: Jan 24, 2011 6:42 PM --- Also, Does this work with Permissions, or can everyone use it? =D
Cool It took over a 2 minutes to return the result and during that time in-game chat was unresponsive and there was other major lag heh CentOS 5.5 and Craftbukkit #135
Should change the Thread priority of your Plugin, Check out this page for more information: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/getting-your-priorities-straight-the-plugin-version.788/
Okey I will change the priority to monitor the next time. And I will look into getting less lagg. And maybe the /ping-list fuature wil be in next time.
I'm using a server wrapper called McMyAdmin..it has a ping command built into it, so using /ping with your plugin doesn't work. Doesn't seem to be a way to disable the wrapper command either. Even with the wrapper removed, the /ping command gives no response. no message. no error. loads without error as well. cbukkit 1136.
I updated the plugin to v1.5 change log: - java kills te procces after it gave the result (causes less lagg) (hopefully) - It gives back only the username and the response time. (so not al the other crap) - new function: /pinglist, this one returns the ping of al online users. I am open for suggestions and if you have any trouble with this plugin, please post the problem. So far I only tested it on a linux localhost, tonight I am going to test it on a online server with 3to4 players on it. (check top post for download link: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/pingcraft.1799/) regards Blackshade
Srry guys that I haven't responced lately, but I am a little bussy with school, I will try to make an update for windows next week and add some new content. Wlfy, what do you mean by a whois function?
The new version is out. I tested it on Linux, but I made it configable, so with the correct split Strings in the config file it sould work for windows. If it doesn't just let me know by posting here.
Seems to still lag-kill my server... Pinging my self in Canada to my server in USA is fine, 90ms. But trying to ping a friend from the UK killed the server
I have no idea what is the cause of this problem. Maybe someone who has more knollage about java could take a look at my file. Maybe I made a mistake or someting...
Most people will be firewalled. Is there something the server can sent the client auto responds to? Time that and you got a ping that works on everyone.
Hello, does anyone have this plugin? I would like to use this or if you have an idea how to ping players just tell me
