Ok I know that there are posts all over the forums but I feel like asking this again would give me the most up to date answer. I am trying to get a bukkit server to run several mods server side. I have started to get things to work client side but now I need to figure out a way to get mods to work server side. First is trains mod, I can't seem to figure out a way to get Mod Loader MP to load on a bukkit server. Is there another program that does the same thing on bukkit servers? Ty for the help people.
I'm afriad Bukkit doesnt support Mod Loader. I believe theirs various things like spout (User has to have spout client) on Bukkit though
At the moment I find Spout very crappy too, to be honest. Hope they will add the custom blocks and entity's soon, then it will all be better
@Unset If you use the dev build of Spout you can make custom blocks. Check out SpoutBlocks by @ZNickq . He also created a tutorial on how to create them, you can check that out here.
Well this is an obvious vicious cycle of modding in the minecraft community. Either you try to have the patience to mod the original client to be compatible with everything, or you try and work with somebody who has tried to mod for their projects. At least sprout does work with bukkit.
I'm curious how limited = crappy. And the whole premise of Spout is that players don't need Spoutcraft, they just miss out on the improvements. PS. custom blocks are working.
@Afforess Yay finally! Custom blocks in minecraft! Btw with 'crappy' I meant that it wasn't very usefull YET, so I didnt understand why to use it. (Yes I know, I am impatient)
I am planning to run Red Power, Slopes, trains, and another couple of mods will those all work with Spout?
