On the 1.8.1 server list menu ti says that as the motd for my server "Communication error" and has an "X" over the little wifi bar things. But i can still connect to my server, Any one know a fix? Might i have to have another port open? If it is its happening to all of my users... I don't think it is. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
I'm having the exact same problem. All of the clients report a communication error with a crossed-out signal bar, but we're still able to connect. When my I open my client's multiplayer section it tries to poll the server and the server gives this: [INFO] Connection reset [INFO] /my.private.ip.addressort lost connection and the client reports a communication error. I'm running server version beta 1.8.1. We're all using client version 1.8.1 I'm using Craftbukkit version git-Bukkit-0.0.0-1067-g6301507-b1185jnks, which is confusing, b/c I JUST NOW (ie, I just stopped and did it when I noticed this discrepancy) downloaded the recommended build (0.0.1-1185), but it still reports 0.0.0-1067... I find this all very odd... Any ideas?
Im having the same trouble as you all. My server says communication error and there is an X over the connection status but all of the players can join. If anyone finds out how to fix this problem will you please post how to fix it here on the page for the rest of us? Oh also on my server log i have no error messages so i take that as a good thing.
