Looking for a simple, easy to use region protection plugin

I'm looking for a simple and easy to use region protection plugin. What i'm trying to do is have an area protected from building/removing blocks depending on the players group (using permissionsBukkit). There doesn't have to be any in-game commands (though I wouldn't mind 'em), I'm fine with entering x,y,z coordinates in a config but it does need to be able to support bigger areas.

Everything I've found so far is either too specific (size, using blocks to protect, etc) or overkill (does more than just prevent players from building/destroying).

Any suggestions are appreciated,

you need WorldGuard mate.
thats the most popular plugin for this.

 

While I appreciate the suggestion, I've looked at WorldGuard. It seems to want to do everything with no way to disable the commands. Any other suggestions?

No. WorldGuard is the best. Or use EssentialsProtect or iZone

 

i have tried to get worldguard working and i havn't ever got far. Maybe a permissions problem on my part, but either way, Regios is what you wanna use. It has a great deal of features and is always kept active. Pretty sure it's compatible with 1.8 too. (i did test it, everything i tried worked, about half the features.)
