I have now moved this project to BukkitDev. Please use that instead of this page.

    QuickWarp - Teleportation shortcutting.

    Version: v0.3

QuickWarp was designed with the idea of keeping amount you have to type to teleport to someone at a minimum.
I also couldn't find any other plugins like it that weren't bundled with other plugins (after extensive searching), so I made it myself.

    Features:
    • /warpto command allows you to go to someone, only one name need be typed.
    • /warphere command allows you to send someone to you, once again, only one name need be typed.
    • Both can be shortened to /w2 (and /to) and /wh (and /here) respectively.
    • Player name shortening. If XPlayer is online, and YPlayer wants to teleport to him, he only needs to type /w2 x. That is 5 characters over 20 characters in a normal /tp between the two.
    • Type /return or /r to return to where you where before you teleported!
    • You can teleport between different worlds!
    • Permissions 3.x support.
Download - I use bit.ly to track downloads. Don't trust the link? Use the direct download below.

    Command Usage (open)

    • /warpto [playername] - Sends user of the command to whomever they enter as [playername].
    • /warphere [playername] - Sends [playername] to whomever used the command.
    • /return - Sends you back to where you were before you teleported.

    Permissions (open)

    • quickwarp.warpto - allows use of the /warpto or /w2 commands.
    • quickwarp.warphere - allows use of the /warphere or /wh commands.
    • quickwarp.return - allows use of the /return or /r commands.

    Planned Features:
    • Shortcutting between worlds. - 90% done.
    • Returning to your dead body after you die. - Working, in next update
    • Superperms support - Working, in next update
    Changelog:

    Version 0.2

    • Added /return (/r) commands to send you back to where you were before you teleported.

Updated to version 0.2, added the /return command to return to where you were before you teleported. If you are teleported to someone else via /warphere you can go back to where you were as well.

I used to have EasyTp installed, but it is no longer developed, so I looked for a new teleportation plugin that is as easy.
This is not as quick as said plugin, but it is simple indeed. And way better than other teleportation solutions, as I could only manage to find packs of commands.

A simple request. Can you make it so that it's not /warpto or /w2, but just /to? Same goes to the bringing, I would be glad if it became /here or /bring.
Some clients already complained that they are confused, because I've got Warpz0r installed, and I too think that it's much more comprehensible this way.

    Keep up the good work.
    Cheers.

Lemme quickly add it. Also I'll get to the other features soon.

    Updated to 0.3
    • Added extra aliases (/to and /here) to the /warpto and /warphere commands.
@SkullCollector , you mentioned that EasyTP was faster. Are there any other improvements you could suggest to make my plugin as good, if not better?

I might have used the wrong words. 'Faster' as in ... well. I don't know, actually. I probably wrote that when I compared /warpto and /to subconsciously. Sorry for that.

But I discovered an error in my console. I could not manage to reproduce it, and my server log doesn't want to open up. I'll post it as soon as possible.

Also, thanks for the quick changes!

No problem. If you could get that error to me as soon as you can that would be awesome.

I am using your plugin now, and it looks like it's working great!

I do have a few suggestions though,
    - the message that prompts when you are warped, can it be toggled on/off?
    it uses two lines in the chatbox, so it'll fill the screen rather fast if there's much warping going on xD;

    and also,
    a specific command "/warphere *" (or "/here *")
which warps every player on the server to your location, it would come in very handy!

    anyway, I enjoy your plugin!
and i wish you good luck with it!

Would you like this feature in a configuration file or as a command toggle option?

@MilesTheFox - I'm going on holiday now for 2 weeks. If you haven't mentioned whether you would like it as a configuration file or a command toggle by the time I get back I'm just going to assume you don't need it.

I have managed to reproduce the error. Unfortunately several times in a row. Anyway, here it is:

I think the best way is in a configuration file.
    Thanks!~

  12. EasyTP finally broke on 1060 :'(
I'll be using this as a replacement :)
    Quite liking the /r function.

What was the whole command you put in (/w2 name)? And what was the name of the person you wanted to teleport to?

I have now moved this project to BukkitDev. Please use that instead of this page.

@MilesTheFox, the features requested have already been added as tickets, however @SkullCollector , can you file a problem ticket please, including all the information it asks for :)
