Another lightweight plugin from me!
You can control taking swords and axes in your hands.
For axes there is also a permission-dmg-node. (if you have some lumberjacks and axe-fighting-classes)

You can also define custom messages in the config file.

what do the permissions do? Say I give someone: simpleweapon.sword.diamond, does this mean he is only able to use diamond and nothing else?

 

why do I only get a donate button when i click on the download link ?

It just gives rights for diamondsword!

It works, using it on my own server, it just controls damage with weapons, not holding in hands!

Sugesstion
Add control for tools
Prevent equiping rather than prevent using.

Permissions für Werkzeuge
Verhindern das dass jeweilige Item in die Quickbar gelegt werden kann / in dieser ausgewählt werden kann. Dies könnte z.B. umgesetzt werden indem der Quickbar Slot geändert wird (doch was passiert wenn in jedem Slot das selbe Item ist?) oder aber das Item zurück ins Inventar legen, falls dieses voll ist das jeweilige Item auf den Boden werfen / mit einem anderen Item aus dem Inventar austauschen.

 

Mache vielleicht was wie SimpleToolPermissions.
Toolslot wählen wird dann aber nur mit der Bukkit Contrib unterbunden werden können (glaube ich)
Wäre dann erforderlich damit das Plugin funktioniert.

 

Bei dem Plugin EasyRPG gibt es sowas auch, braucht keine BukkitContrib.
Wäre ja dennoch ohne ClientSide mods.

 

Ah mir fällt ein ItemInHand is ja normales bukkit... falls morgen kein heroes release ist, guck ich mal danach

 

Not 100% sure but I THINK there is a forum rule saying keep all text in English (I'll check in a minute though)

Anyway, can I suggest NOT blocking equipping? There is no need to - various other mods use swords as a tool (such as Zeus using a gold sword to trigger lightning) - I use this to block players hitting anything with the sword but still holding it for the tool.

I'm putting this down as inactive in my mind and moving on to another plugin. If you do update and fix tag me, it'd be a shame to see this go down as it does work better than the one i'm moving to, when it actually works.

Suggestion: Mind adding a permissions to attack with fists, i have a major problem with people using fists to attack and would like to remove that ^^. Thanks for your time.

Suggestion:How about editing damages like..
Diamond sword does 5.5 hearts for whoever have simpleweapon.sword.diamond
Or you can go a config and edit like.. Diamond sword does 10 hearts for whoever have simpleweapon.sword.diamond.dmg
and that would replace simpleweapon.sword.diamond
so please?

This doesnt work very well, I have it equiped and you can still select the [diamond sword] by opening your inventory and putting it in the already selected slot. you should change it so that you can equip it, but i doesnt do any damage.

*edit I just change my rank to farmer, i cant use axes past stone (good) but if i do what i mentioned up there to select it, i can still attack with swords.

Any chance you will be adding SuperPerms support?

 

I got some heavy problems with lags and plugins on my server, so I have to spend spare time to this.

If I have some time, I will switch to SuperPerms/Permissions and Spout.

 

Is this inactive ?? any way ive updated it to 1185RB with superperm support and with Mojos permission i will add a download link
