    Biome - Change biomes
    Version: v0.3.1

Have you ever wanted it to snow in the desert? How about having ghasts and zombie pigmen in your forests? Well, now you can, weirdo.

    Download - Source Code

    Use the /biome command:
/biome set [biome name] sets the biome in the chunk you're standing in. (Permission: biome.set.chunk)
/biome get tells you what biome you're standing in. (Permission: biome.get)
/biome clear returns the biomes in the chunk you're standing in to their natural state. (Permission: biome.clear.chunk)
/biome list gives you a list of biomes you can use. (Permission: biome.list)

Having WorldEdit installed on your server adds the ability to use:
/biome set-selection [biome name], which sets the biome for every (x, z) value in your WorldEdit selection (Permission: biome.set.selection), and
/biome clear-selection, which turns every (x, z) value in your WorldEdit selection back to its original state. (Permission: biome.clear.selection)

    Changelog:
    Version 0.3.1
    • Fixes a bug that would cause Biome not to work on worlds loaded by plugins before Biome initializes
    Version 0.3 (541 downloads)
    • Permissions support. OPs will still get access to all commands.
    • Stopped reporting the wrong biome in Nether and Skylands.
    • Allow global biomes to be set on a per-world basis, configurable in plugins/Biome/config.yml
    Version 0.2 (415 downloads)
    • Added /biome set-selection and /biome clear-selection, which require WorldEdit to be installed.
    • Changed data storage format to allow for sub-chunk accuracy. Old data will be converted seamlessly.
    • WorldEdit is not required, but will allow /biome *-selection commands if it is available.
    Version 0.1 (43 downloads)
    • Released plugin
    • Called everyone a weirdo

    the config.yml isn't working.. i put

    Code:
    # Allowed biomes in this config:
    # [RAINFOREST, SWAMPLAND, SEASONAL_FOREST, FOREST, SAVANNA, SHRUBLAND, TAIGA, DESERT, PLAINS, ICE_DESERT, TUNDRA, HELL, SKY]

    global_biomes:
        world: TUNDRA

    but still isn't working..

and also something wrong with it.. My town suddenly having a huge mountain, or sometimes a puddle..

.31 still did not fix the bug where it won't change the biomes, I even tried setting the config biome and nothing works. For me at least

Is there is way to change the order that plugins start?

Ok it IS working for me but only if I do /biome set-selection (type) if I use WorldEdit's wand tool to choose a selection less than 305 blocks at a time (if I chose more than that when I enter the /biome set-selection (type) command it says "You have not defined a selection in WorldEdit")... since the area I'm changing is 301 x 526 i'm not looking to have to do this 526 times to complete it ... lol
/biome set (type) says it works but doesn't change anything at all

To comment on the above post, I tested his actions and came back with the same results, if I select a small area with world edit, and used set-selection it would change the biome.

I also noticed that even though the biome changed, the effects remained the same, changing desert to forest and there still was no raid, changing tundra to forest and it was still snowing. Is that working as intended? If so I am a little confused on the overall function of the plugin if it doesn't change anything graphically.

I agree that it doesn't seem to be working. I can set chunks/regions fine, and it reports the changes when I ask, but the actual behavior doesn't change, even after a server restart. Weather and grass color don't change.

    I still don't arrive to use /biome

    /biome get --> savanna
    /biome set tundra
    /biome get --> savanna

Can you add a ' /biome set global ' command so you can make your world completely on biome

Will you add the possibility to make a chunk a slimespawning chunk?

This plugin doesn't work for anyone. Once I hear its successful for at least one person ill try it.

@Nightgunner5 I thought the client took the seed and used the generated biome to provide the client side look. aka tree's and such.

Is this not the case anymore?

    @Nightgunner5
In fact it functions but only when I restarted the server
Perhapse the chunks have to be unloaded (I don't know just suggestions)

But still no snow on the client side
but snow is formed on the newTundra biome (with rain ^^)

Ok i think this plugin is broken as it doesnt change the global biome, proven when it snowed in a desert =/
please tell me when it actually works

Great plugin. Very simple to use, but quite affective for appearance. For some reason my biome once changed to a desert (we think it was due to dessertification from lack of trees) and now we can go back to a rain forest!

Love the idea, but it doesn't work for me. /biome set doesn't do anything.

/biome set functions but you need to reload
But this is a quite interesting work to be continued

it still seems to be a bit buggy
/biome set doesn't work on a specific chunk, its allways tundra, even after reload
/biome set-selection worked only once, the 2nd time it just msg'd You have not defined a selection in WorldEdit
i used //chunk to select something

Do you think you could use bukkitcontrib to force the client into recognizing the new biome type? It seems that would make this mod much more useful, at the moment I can only see this being used to prevent snow and ice build up in certain regions, but I get that with worldguard. Also do you know if dynmap and other similar mods will recognise the new biome data?

how long does it take for the changes to take effect? my friend put down some ice, then if turned our whole server into a snowtundra biome, and i type /biome set plains
    when will it change?

Love the idea. But it doesn't work for me. I had downloaded the last version, and that's what i get :

/biome get --> The biome you are standing in is Tundra
/biome set Forest --> Set this chunk's biome to Forest
/biome get --> The biome you are standing in is Tundra

And, in some chunks, i get this :

/biome get --> The biome you are standing in is Tundra
/biome set Forest --> An internal error occurred while attempting to perform this command

It seems to have changed most of my server to tundra as there is now snow and ice in practically every chunk.
