Edible Glistering Melon Slice

Is there possible to make a plugin that makes glistering melon slice edible?

Want "only" the glistering melon slice you can get from a command to be edible and not the crafted ones.
Want to be able to use /give and /summon to get the item.

If you eat one, it restores your hole hunger, so its very op food source

Version: 1.19 java
Name: Glistering_melon
Command:
- /give @p minecraft:glistering_melon (amount 1-64)
- /summon minecraft:item ~ ~ ~ {Item:{id:"minecraft:glistering_melon ",Count:64b}}
(make it always active)

I'm pretty sure that you cannot play the eating animation. There might be some work around like slowing down the player and playing some particles when the player is holding right click with the glistering melon slice but the animation but that's about it. You still want it like that?

 

That will work just fine. Add a eating slowness and a small particle of your choice that would match what you think it would look like to eat a glistering melon slice. Looking forward to see what you come up with
