I recently just updated to the newest version of java as is recommended but as soon as I did that I lost all my files for my server as I am the host therefore I have the files. My start.bat file went as well as all the ban files and server permissions, properties etc. I remade the start.bat file but it has made a new world and everything has been undone. Any way I can restore the old files as I spent a long time making this server. Thanks for any help.
@tence3000 Updating Java had nothing to do with the files. If the files were really deleted, then either you or something on your computer deleted those files. If you do not have any backups, and they are not in your recycling bin, the only way to recover those files would be use file recovery tools such as these: http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Deleted-Files-Back-from-USB-or-Hard-Drive http://www.any-data-recovery.com/topics/data/retrieve-deleted-files.html
I went through my whole trash and nothing. I haven't deleted anything recently either apart from a couple of things I will mention in a minute. I did however delete the old version of java that my server had code that was running from. Could removing the old version possibly have removed my server?
@tence3000 Wait, do you mean you actually manually deleted the Java files? The Java 8 installer should have deleted 7. Why/House did you delete those files? Either way, no. The uninstaller would never target other files, and unless you installed the server inside the java file (which I don't know why you would put it there) there is no way deleting the java file would delete that other file.
No I didn't manually delete them, the uninstalled did so and it can't of been embedded in the java files. Never mind I will just remake the server, thanks for the help though.
