How many players would we expect to run with bukkit on the following:

    ProServer UltraPOWER X5

    • Intel Xeon X3440 Quadcore
    • 32 GB DDR3-RAM
    • 2x 2,000 GB SATA II and
      1x 60 GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD
    • Unlimited traffic
    • Monthly Payment

Umm 75? is that with using the ssd?

Also the server has a 100 Gbit Ethernet Connection. (BTW This is from server4you)

I ordered an IPAP.co server and it took them nearly 2 months to deliver it, they suck

your best choice is to go with colocation, that way you get full root access and the ability to do whatever you want

the prices above seem too good to be true, hell its costs like 80/month for good bandwidth so how do they guys manage to provide some super hardware and support for just a little bit more. I'd want to see a speed test and the degree of control you have before I'd make any decision

no matter how good your set up and CPU are minecraft only runs off one core so that will be your bottleneck

I dont know, but my server works well. But true, I had to wait 2 weeks for them to deliver my dedi, but i doest matter, i pay 50 bucks on a 8gb dell, it's the best deal anyone can get.

Anyway another good pricing dedi seler is https://www.webtropia.com/en/home.html

Guys, how long does it take for server4you to set up a dedi?

I have seen some bad reviews, so I'm not sure whether to buy one.

Well, that is in Euros. 69,99 Euro or 98.5665 US Dollars.

Um, your processor will be your bottleneck, doesen't matter how fast your disk I/O is. Also you should of just used a RAMdisk as it will outperform any SSD setup and you sure have enough RAM to do so. The new world format is not near as hard on a server as the old one used to be.

Anyways, your processor is not that great, and will limit you to around 75 players per core, before massive lag.

I get mine from them within 24 hours

There is a little bar next to the dedi saying how long delivery due to stock will be, If they take longer than that they give you $50
