Hello! I've been trying to port forward a server for a very long time. I've done lots of research on how to do it, watched lots of videos, and tried for my self lots and lots of times. I have a Netgear R6300v2
router. I've looked into my WAN setup and I have these following settings.

Disable Port Scan and DoS protection (Checked)
    Default DMZ Server (Not checked)
Respond to Ping on Internet Port (Not Checked)
    Disable IGMP Proxying (Checked)
    MTU Size (in bytes) (1500)
    Nat Filtering (Open)
    Disable SIP ALG (Not Checked)

My port forwarding is set to TCP/UDP on port 25565 named MC Server
Set to my static ip adress to the computer I'm using.
I am also using ethernet in case that helps any.
I'm also wondering if my firewall has anything to do with this not being able to work I have the free anti-virus named AVG anti-virus Free edition 2015. I also had Norton Internet Security but the subscription wore off.

Pls tell my what I'm missing or have done wrong, Thank You! :)

What are your server properties looking like?

firewall will have everything to do with blocking a SERVER service. You need to add the java and minecraft programs to the allowed list.

You will have to figure out with your various firewalls and security packages how to grant permission to the server.
Typically there is a table or method to let you navigate to a file and add it to an excemption list of some sort.
mincraft, depending on the various firewall vendors, may require just the java program running it to be granted access, or both java and the minecraft jar file, or just the minecraft jar file

So if I had no firewall apps besides the system one all I'd have to do would manage the system one?

any security systems that will deny services from accessing the network - typically just firewalls, but if you have some other total-complete antivirus and security package, it may require that too. But firewalls for sure
