    Hello Bukkiters,

I have received the following message from a BukkitDev staff member in which it says that one of my plugins got removed.

"The reason for deletion is: DMCA ticket # X"

How can I find out who sent that ticked and why was it sent?

Did you use any copy written material in your plugin? If so this could be your issue, because it says DMCA ticket and that generally means that you have a copyright infringement.

@Waxing_My_Knee I haven't used any copy written material. Feel free to check out the source code: Github

I've got the team double checking this. That message means we received a DMCA notice for the plugin. We're double checking the reasons given for the DMCA and will let you know what the reason was and if anything can be changed so it can be put back up.

The plugin is back up. The DMCA was aimed at the name, not the code, and names don't fall under DMCA (as far as I know.. until a lawyer tells me otherwise). The message sent to you should have been "pulled pending review" not sure why it wasn't explained better in the message. We're going to get a better procedure put in place for reviewing DMCA notices and copyright claims.

Unless a lawyer shows up and tells me that "Simple Cast" is somehow a universal trademark for someone, I'm sticking with "not valid complaint".
