(Thanks to the mods for restoring the thread.)
ZodiacTheories I get this error when answering the questions: http://pastebin.com/kxuNQ2XX

(It's also appending a little /quiz after each question it broadcasts)

ZodiacTheories Skye If it's too hard working with another persons code and you'd rather rewrite it, that's fine. There's not a huge rush on it or anything.

Just checking if anyone was still willing to work on this. I don't want to be a nag, but it's so close I hate to give up on it.

Chicks797 I'm currently working on my version of this. As I see, others don't have time/gave up/have something else to do.

Chicks797 daavko I think ZodiacTheories is continuing Mathias' version; it would be unreasonable to expect him to do much within a day. I'm still willing to get it done fast and well-developed, but as I said in an earlier post, I'm stepping aside until the project is virtually dead to avoid stealing the thunder.

Skye Wait, there is much to do? I have just re-created this entire plugin in about 8 hours... Also, if ZodiacTheories wants, I can stop working on it anytime, so only his work will be shown.

No? I guess it'd depend on the person, but there are a lot of things one can do in a day that doesn't involve writing free plugins for people. So you can see why it would be wrong to jump in so soon and claim that others have dropped the project for various reasons.

Skye Oh... Yes, that's true. Forgetting I am on vacation, so I have a lot of time

ZodiacTheories daavko Skye I apologize, I didn't mean to come across like I was in a rush at all. I understand people are working on it in their spare time, and greatly appreciate it, so please take all the time you need. I just didn't know if everyone had given up because it was too difficult or large of a request. I have plenty to do making questions!

Chicks797 Oh, you're fine! I'd even say your enthusiasm is encouraging; and it's your right to bump the thread to make sure things are on track. :) It's just common courtesy on Bukkit for developers not to fight over active projects, especially if it's an open source one to which everyone is free to contribute. ;)

Skye Thanks! As a teacher it's great to see how supportive everyone has been in helping out students. The server is private (so we don't have strangers mingling with the kids), but if anyone is curious, they can always see what it looks like here: http://trailer.eduminecraft.com/
I'll wait patiently and keep working on questions. Let me know if there is anything you need from me.

I am finding it really hard to read Mathias code, I might take a while

daavko Thank you, we needed something that showed the educational content. It was pretty empty character wise at that point. Now there are Citizens that give quests and guide the students.

ZodiacTheories Sorry you're having such a hard time and that I'm completely clueless when it comes to coding. I hate to think that you've done part already and daavko has worked on part. Maybe it would be easier to put the two together. (Although I'm not sure how these things work, collaboration or if people just like to work on it themselves, so no offense intended.)

ZodiacTheories Are you still working on this? Just so I know if I can continue making it (40% done now...), or you make it.

ZodiacTheories Thank you for working on it!
daavko And thank you for taking it over. The kids are really excited. Just curious, will the formatting of the questions and rewards be the same? I can always copy paste, but maybe I should quit working on them!

Chicks797 Formatting is a bit changed (due to support of more enchantments per item and custom name and lore on items), but if you want, you can send me your current questions and rewards and I will re-format them for this plugin :)

daavko Oh no, I wouldn't want you to have to go through that! Just don't get frustrated with me if I have questions later. I can copy and paste them just fine.

Chicks797 Well...I have actually re-formatted all questions and rewards from configuration file you posted earlier (http://pastebin.com/wCeieCxZ) and it took about 15-20 minutes to do it, so it is not that big "problem". Also, don't worry about me getting frustrated, there is no chance of that happening. Questions and other feedback is always appreciated :)

daavko Thank you. Do you plan on submitting it for folks to download? I think a lot of people would use it, even if they only ran it for special events.

    Teach the kids to code,
and they will make the questions for you to answer. :)

Chicks797 Yes, I will put it on BukkitDev when it's completed (around 90% now, but I have to leave it for one day)

    daavko No problem!
ChipDev Actually, we're working with a nearby group that is using Minecraft to teach Java coding. It's really interesting to see how our little classroom project has branched out and connected with other groups.

Awesome. What grade are they in? Because that could be news worthy, and Im in 5th grade so I could prob. convince my teacher :p

ChipDev I believe it is all ages. We've met with them, but haven't attended any of their sessions yet. They just got started over the summer. But Minecraft has been making the news quite a bit here lately. The city is working on a project to import GIS data to make a map like what they did in Denmark. And NPR just interviewed us for a short news story on ways people are engaging students in Common Core learning that should be running nationally soon. (Which never would have happened without the great support we've gotten from the forums here!)
