Bulk it server help!

I'm currently running a server on craft bulldog 1.7.9 and I would like to know how I can let people from version 1.7.2+

In other words I would like to know how to let players join the server from 1.7.2 1.7.4 and 1.7.9

Please help!

Also, the latest version is 1.7.9, why is support for earlier client versions needed?

 

Servers that are set up to allow connections from 1.7.2 - 1.7.9 clients are using an insecure protocol hack which is unsupported by CraftBukkit. So if you want to try something like that, you won't get help for it here. It isn't recommended and there's no real good reason why you should want to do that anyway.

 

So mineplex uses a hacked client to host?

what are the things called that people like mineplex use?

They are using some sort of custom jar to run their server, not a hacked client.

 

Iroh do you know where i could get this custom jar?

 

They are usually developed 'in house' and generally not public, also we do not support them.

Going to lock this thread as it is not possible with craftbukkit and that is what this forum is for.
