What's wrong with my server?

I've done EVERYTHING. I'm thinking of even shutting it down. What's wrong with my server?
We used to have 10/26 players on all the time, a month after opening. Now the map broke and we reset it and now, most of the time we have 0/26. How do people grow a server? We had this server for about 2 months and nothing has changed. We have Factions, custom foods, custom ranks, nice staff, a website, and more. Our server is on the brink of death, and I just want to know what is wrong with it.

 

This is why you make backups of your world(s)! The people might have quit because of the map reset. Maybe go to that players (if you can contact them) and give them a big advantage like good stuff and building blocks so they can get started easier. Just an IDEA, this doesn't necessary have to do much!

Also, you might want to try getting something unique on your server. Get in contact with a dev maybe and make an awesome plugin that players will love and no / few servers have!

"Factions, custom X Y Z, nice staff, a website, and more" sounds like a common server. Players could have been attracted, but most servers have "Factions, custom X Y Z, nice staff, a website, and more". If a player finds a dislike, they can head to the server next door and get almost the same gameplay.

My suggestion: something unique, something original, something every other server doesn't have/do. When a server has similar stuff as other servers, its easier for players to leave, but if it has unique stuff, its harder for players to find that on other servers, causing them to go back to yours.
