Recently I downloaded the latest Bukkit server, have a world set and forwarded my port correctly. But, there is one problem: even though people can see my port (It's open) the server refuses to go online. If anyone can help me with this, that'd be great.

Pictures that may help you with my issue.

    Check your firewall

    Can you connect via localhost?

xJerseySchorrx The port open says port 25565 while bukkit says its listening on port 25569. What port are you using when you are trying to connect?

Nevermind my question. Change your port in minecraft config to 25565.

Assuming you want to play on the computer that the server is also running on, and you want others to be able to join, this is what you have to do.

    Close(turn off) the server.

Seeing as though you have forwarded port 25565, you need to tell Bukkit to actually USE that port to broadcast. Currently(by looking at your screenshot) your bukkit server is (trying to) broadcast through port 25569.

Open up command prompt, type "ipconfig" without the quotes(press enter), find your IP address(not your gateway) (should look like: 192.168.x.xxx).

Open up server.properties, change the port to 25565, and change the server-ip to the IP displayed in cmd prompt. SAVE.

To join, use "localhost" without the quotes as the server address.

For others to join, go into Google, type "ip" without the quotes, copy paste that bold number with periods and have your friends enter that number as the mc address.

    Start the server...
