soryr may be kind of a noob here. How do I install multiple plugins on my server? I unzip the plugin, drag its contents (META INFS, bunch of random other json files and stuff) into the plugins folder, then I want another plugin installed, and it too has META INF and files named the same that want to merge. How do I install multiple plugins? Am I even doing it right? Sorry for being a noob. EDIT: I download the .jar as a zip. What do I do with it now?
nonono haha the plugin should be a .jar file and leave that as it is and place it inside the plugins folder. place as many .jar files as you want in there and when you run the server it will create folders with the plugin names. in those folders are usually the configuration files for each plugin. If when you download a plugin it is in .zip format, the zip file should contain a jar file in it, bukkit reads the jar files as plugins so place the jar file in the plugins folder
but there are no .jar files in the .zip? Wait the zip IS the jar file? How do i make it not a zip then? EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
You should be able to open the zip file and within the zip file you will find the jar file. the jar is what you need
If you have 7zip or any other unpacking programs, it will show the .jar as a file you can unpack. It should say JAR file out to the right. Dont unpack it just copy it over to your plugins folder
I have winrar. It is a winrar archive with .JAR at the end of each plugins name. So I drag the entire winrar archive file (.jar) into the plugins folder and then what?
Puggles Also check your console for errors, maybe the plugin could not start because there was an error.
Here are three screenshots of the files Server folder http://i.imgur.com/4GMcm9I.png Plugin folder http://i.imgur.com/Q1sZJ8G.png Inside a plugin http://i.imgur.com/ydZEqbM.png
Try downloading this and place it in plugins http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/essentials/ Why the other plugins wont work might be because they are outdated
Puggles If they are throwing errors and out of date then you can't do much with those plugins. I think you need to search for replacement plugins that are up to date then.

1.7.2 from https://dl.bukkit.org/ Sorry I went shopping and went for dinner; couldn't respond for a while. Ill fiddle with it tonight let you know if anything happens
Just put the jar file in the server, leave everything else. The problem is you have not taken the jar files out of the zip file. Do not put the zip file in the server plugins folder put only the jar file in the server plugin folder. Just go on youtube and try and find a tutorial on how to install plugins if you want a in depth explanation. Like the other person said, all plugins are up to date so try and delete your craftbukkit jar file and the download a new up to date version and put that in your folder to run.
I just downloaded the most recent craftbukkit dev build, and removed the out of date plugin, the errors still show up saying somethings out of date with ALL the plugins
I am going to be away for the next few days so I wont have a chance on trying to fix it. I should be back on this thread Thursday. Nothing has changed yet but I havent updated java yet, ill do that when I get back home.
There should be a .jar file inside the .zip, usually has the Java icon on it, and you copy and paste it into your plugins folder.
