Urgent. Horses despawning

Hey!

I have a urgent problem that my players do not like. When they find a horse, put it in a pen or whatever, it seems as they disappear. Do you know why this happens and how to fix this?

I'm not sure what the cause might be but there are numerous plugins that prevent the despawning of horses.

MyHorse is a plugin that offers an array of commands to go along with that, and I would recommend it unless you're trying to stay vanilla regarding horses.

 

I had nothing but trouble with the 'MyHorse' plugin and would not recommend it.

I believe if your players tame the horses, they will not despawn. Check it out with an NBT editor and see if the 'persistance-required' tag is set for tamed horses.

 

Where do I find that? Is there a good horse protections plugin where they can lock their horses?

MyHorse has a consistency of having problems with other Bukkit Server owners. I suggest http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/joes-horse-collect/

 

You could always name the horses to prevent them from despawning...

 

Zarko What do you mean name? With a nametag they still disappear.

It seems if the horse despawns when you leave the area/region (I use worldguard). Anyone know why and how to fix this?

 

Try taming the horses.
