Any plugins that add new ores and items?

Im looking for a plugin that adds new ores and items. It doesn't have to be just one plugin.

Bukkit can create recipes but it can't add new textures. So creating new ores/items is impossible using bukkit.

 

I heard Moar stuff can add new items however that's not the result of the orignal efffects into the plugin some tempered with it I think all I know is that it's possible with Moar stuff somehow I just don't know how they do it

 

Real new items and blocks can only be done with a modded server and modded client. And here, take some of these: .,.,,.

 

well sir in a way using a plugin to make your own new items may be considered a mod of some sort as well and like I said I don't know how they did it the author says new items are possible (scrambling through 2 month ago memories I may be wrong that its moar stuff)however they don't tell you how to do it they only tell you that other people performed this all I am saying is somehwere idk if its tampering with a plugin converting it mod style or not my memory is certain but the where is only 70% certain all I can say there just may be a way to do it without relying on forge or mcpc+ just don't give up and keep searching and if you figure it out I'd love to have a chance for you to teach me too

 

GateArgonus, So, back to the original point.

While you can change behavior of items, you are limited on what you can do to serverside only, and thus, you cannot create actual new items.

 

Programming is not a philosophical or religious thing where hope, believe and outright denial of existing evidence come to play.

Just wanting it really bad out of a position of obvious lack of knowledge does not make it come true.

What you can do with a plugin:

• Make dirt behave like sand or gravel, so it falls down when you dig below
• Have cows set the ground on fire where they walk
• Play the sound of an enderman when you shear a sheep

These things can be done with plugins because they use existing entities or blocks and existing behavior, textures and properties of blocks and entities.

What you can't do is add a two-handed chain saw weapon, you can not add a proper new ore like coal or diamond are, you can not add rats to the game without a mod. You may try to simulate or role-play these things with plugins alone, but you can't do the real thing. That is why things like Feed the Beast and other modifications exist, because those developers (and players) wanted to add completely new stuff that Mojang does not have in Minecraft.

Do not troll people. Your claim that you can somehow create completely new items without client mods is false. Continuing to tread this claim shows that there was no research made. While i can see a point about motivation, theres a big red line between being difficult and being technically, and logically, impossible.

You also removed my on-topic post that explained what can and what can't be done with plugins. Is that really necessary, or simply because it quoted a troll post?

I am sorry I didn't ignore and maybe I need to be more specific I am not saying that plugins alone can make items I am saying that maybe there is annother way without mcpc+ or some other non compliant modded sever clients I am always finding new stuff every day when I look around sure it's not ordinary bukkit all the time I was trying to say to the op that if you see a big wall that's impossible to climb don't back away and give up try to find a way around even if it means thinking outside the box and also let me make this clear I DO NOT TROLL! I hate tolling and flaming in any form my intent in this whole charade was to offer courage and support not pointlessly argue with other members I am sorry I fought I just felt bad how they looked like they just cut him down without being sincere I did not mean to fight,I did not mean to play troll, and I certainly do not wish to continue this it is not only hurting me but the op is also probably tired of seeing alerts for this thread

 

While you cannot change any graphics, you can do some item customization with plugins like CraftBook and DiabloDrops. Try them out if you haven't been there.

Also, in theory you could use a combination of rarely used blocks like sponge and a modified texturepack to create a plugin that adds new ores, but I haven't ever seen one.
