More and more updates waiting for review these days?

I don't really remember seeing so many plugin pages saying "update pending review" as I do lately... and what I find kinda sad is that the effect this has is the plugins just get uploaded somewhere else and everyone just downloads it from there.

Is it just because it's the holidays and whoever the reviewers are have less time in these weeks? Or is this the norm for bukkit these days?

Yes, it's because of holidays. However even when it's not, we - "developers" wait average 2 days. It's normal. And I personally do not upload plugins anywhere else, I just wait - if it takes time it's not my problem. People can wait 2 or 3 days for some plugin, can't they?
There are so many plugins to check everyday by stuff and I believe they do their best.
