Can't Allocate More RAM?

    So I run a bukkit server and my server was a bit laggy, so I decided to up the RAM. When I tried to, it would not allow me:
    C:\Users\Zachary\Desktop\WaveCraft>java -Xmx2048 -jar -o true
    Error occurred during initialization of VM
    Could not reserve enough space for object heap
    Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
    Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

    I do have a 64 bit processor, and 8GB of RAM. But I can't allocate 2GB for some reason.
    Help?

    You need to be running a 64-bit OS, and use 64-bit Java.
