Plugin Suggestions

First: THANK YOU bukkit team! All who contribute deserve cake.

Hello, I run a bukkit server for my family and a couple of friends. I use multiverse portals to link our favorite old worlds and a plugin that lets us extend daytime by 3x. Other than those, we are pretty raw and I'm ready to take more advantage of everyone's efforts for this project.

Plugin writers also deserve cake, but to find out who to milk cows for I'd like suggestions on plugins for a few topics. Browsing around I have a few to try, however I would like some suggestions as well.

1. Permissions: I have a friend who I want to give teleport and time set permissions to, but no other OP commands. What is the easiest to use permission plugin that will also work with other popular plugins? Does bukkit have something that handles this without a plugin? Is PermissionsBukkit what I need? (Its kinda confusing without more examples)

2. Grief history: I have a step-nephew-in-law that stole a diamond block from my wife's castle. Can't prove it though. what's a good plugin that I can use to monitor/repair issues like this? The kids banned until I can find something. No telling what I haven't noticed missing... I have my eyes on libelula logger.

3. Protection: If my step-nephew-in-law never had permission to remove blocks or things from chests in certain places the problem would have been prevented. What do you think is best for this? I have my eyes on BukkitProtect.

4. Shops: My wife loves to open up shops and trade her potions and cooking for items. Currently, its all done manually and her goods are just in a chest. Whats a good way for her to open up shop? ChestShop-Towny? I'm only interested in small shop stuff between just a few players.

5. Time: My current plugin for time is alright, but it just cycles the day three times. When night comes, the three of us that are usually on are doing different things in different places and /time set happens often. I'd like night time to become a regular part of the game again and ween everyone off the idea of time set. There are a lot of sleep plugins, but I am looking for plugins that may provide an incentive to sleep(like health, or effect), and has the option to wait for more players to sleep or sleep without them. More interesting nights would be nice. A reason to brave the terrors instead of seek shelter would make skipping night a tougher decision. Maybe netherwart should only grow at night, or the cycles of the moon allow for different enchantments at it's zenith. Any suggestions?

6. Villagers: Right now they are ugly, sound like squidward and party hard in one house although the village is really big. Any good resource pack suggestions and plugin for making these guys better? Citizens2 sounds interesting.

7. What is your personal favorite plugin?
