I want to start up a bukkit plugin coding series but Fraps doesn't work with eclipse. What recording software should I use? I have a Windows 8 Lenovo
Open Broadcaster Software is actually very very nice. You can record and/or livestream, basically do what xsplit does and edit your "scenes" (multiple, resizable videos on one video for example), and plus its free and open source. It works well.
TehVoyager Recording screens: Camtasia Studio (Editor, recorder) - This seems to be popular for tutorial makers, because its probably the best for them. Very easy to use editor and recorder. Bandicam - Can be a resource hog but its an all in one. Records about anything with plenty of settings/customization. Camstudio - Basic screen recorder, not even sure if its compatible with windows 8. Recording Games: Bandicam - Can be a resource hog but its an all in one. Records about anything with plenty of settings. Fraps - Resource hog, i dont really know why people use this records to raw/lossless quality so its about 4.7gb every 1-2 minutes (depending on resolution and quality) has VERY limited settings/ customization Dxtory - Works in a special way so you don't lose alot of in-game fps this is the best options for recording games, has alot of settings and customization. Playclaw - Works similar to Dxtory but not as good. I use Dxtory for games and bandicam for my screen.
