Hello, I'm making a minecraft server for my school and i have been having connection issues. People cant connect on other wifis. I'm using century link and have a static ip and have port forwarded and all of that mess. I just can't get it to let other people connect! I would like to have this solved by Wenesday as the launch is Thursday and I have finished everything else. Please help!
What do you mean by "other wifis"? How is your network configured? Is the server at your school or at home? Are there multiple APs at your school? How is the network at your school configured? Where are the people trying to connect from? Is there a firewall/proxy at the school blocking it? So little info, so many possibilities.
On other networks and it uses ipv4 with a static ip. I am at home. I disabled all java firewalls and added a minecraft one with 25565 I have all the info just ask
This was posted on MCF. Anyway, the problem with doing this is that the school blocks any traffic outbound that they do not like. There is no way around this except to go to your school administrator and ask them to unblock it.
