[ADMN/WEB] [BukkitDev] Buycraft -The most advanced Donation Plugin.

Discussion in 'Archived: Plugin Releases' started by lmc, Aug 16, 2011.

    Over 100,000 servers have used Buycraft over the last 2 years.
    What is Buycraft, and why does my Minecraft server need it?
    Buycraft enables you to sell in game items/memberships to your community, allowing yourself to fund your server bills to keep your Minecraft server alive. Buycraft is basically an online shopping cart system for your own server!
    How will my players use Buycraft?
    After you have created a Buycraft account, you are given an online webstore which you can use to promote your items for sale. Your players will visit this website and be able to purchase the items that they want, be it a collection of armour, or a monthly VIP membership.
    What can I sell to my users, and how?
    Buycraft enables you to sell ANYTHING to your users, from a collection of armour upgrades, to monthly VIP memberships. When a player purchases a product, it is automatically processed on your Minecraft server, and removes all hassle of managing payments by yourself. All these different options will take the worry out of funding your Minecraft server.
    Some of the awesome features available:
    • Create donation packages which can reward your players with anything you imagine.
    • Setup advanced packages for memberships ranks, with support for automatic Paypal subscriptions.
    • Many Payment gateways supported! (Paypal, Stripe, Google Wallet, Paymentwall, 2Checkout, Onebip, Paygol, Payza, and Coinbase.)
    • Coupon codes to offer discounts to your players.
    • Run promotional sales to gain attention to certain donation packages.
    • Cumulative ranking to enable your players to upgrade their ranks.
    • Custom variables to offer advanced customisation of your packages.
    • Detailed donation statistics to see how well your server is performing.
    • Multiple webstores per account, with the ability to create sub accounts for your other moderators/administrators on your server.
    • Advanced fraud protection to prevent chargebacks.
    • Webstores available in over 8 languages.
    • You can change your webstore theme and even integrate it into your own website.
    • Everything is hosted by us, resulting in a hassle free and inexpensive way to run your own webstore! The Buycraft platform is updated regularly with many new features added each month.
    Have a feature suggestion? Post it below!

    No, you shouldn't need one.
    But they aren't too expensive either, you can get a .info domain for like $3 or so for a year. Then you can get hosting from $3/month and put wordpress/other software on it for real cheap.

    You don't need a website to use Buycraft. The web-store is hosted by Buycraft. For the people who do have a website, there's some integration-features, but those are all optional. The integration would work on any website of which you can change the html-files.

    I don't know if anyone has suggested it or if there is already a method, but I would like players to be able to purchase in game $ and trade those in game $ with other players, then refund $ from their in-game account to their PayPal.

    I don't decide what features get added, but I'm pretty sure this will never be added to the plugin.

    Is there any css I can add to make the login username textbox say something like "This is case sensitive."

    Is there a full changelog for the "big update" from today? I haven't noticed any changes.

  7. It isnt case sensitive though, all commands are executed without taking case into consideration. :)

    For what I'm using it for and player heads, it needs to be case sensitive. It'll serve just as a reminder since many think it's fine to enter their name in all lowercase.

    It could be good to see the following features (at least for Premium clients [I'm premium for 1 year woot]):
    1. Sub-account controllable categories. Explaining: Now you can create sub accounts and give them kind of "global" permissions, but it would be cool if there would be a way to give them control only in some certain product Category.
    2. Hiding categories from webstore. Explaining: I want to be some packages purchaseable only from my website via direct pay button without them to be displayed on a webstore. Right now it seems to be impossible.
    Overall, it's good. I would like to see those features implented since we do pay for the service. :)

    Reminders
    Have an option for it to send the player a reminder X amount of days before the package they bought expires.

    Time Left
    Have a command players can use to see how much time they have left on their "vip" package.

    Hi!

    I will probably make a Pay2Play server soon. I was wondering if you guys could add recurring payments and also the option for users to be affiliates. Let's say a user would refer another user via Buycraft to buy 30 Days worth of Server Time. Could the person that referred the user receive 50% of the money spend? Of course the 50% are just an example. I would love that feature, because I enjoy BuyCraft very much and I would hate to custom code an Affiliate System.

    Hey, recurring payments are already possible as of last update. http://us6.campaign-archive2.com/?u=036c11d3aed7ff2debcc052c6&id=c28964cdf7

    is this still happening? Because there have been some problems with Paypal, but they should be resolved. More has been said about that on Buycraft's twitter. https://twitter.com/buycraft

    I don't make those decisions, but I think it's probably not going to be added, because it would be a very complicated system to set up (where does the money go for example, would Buycraft have to hold it and then divide it?) and doesn't fit in the main-goal of Buycraft.

    The User would sign up on the Owners Buycraft Site. Receive the Affiliate Link and promote that. The money would get split between the Owner and Affiliate right when the new user buys it. That way, Buycraft wouldn't have to hold it, or the Server Owner could hold it in his Paypal and then send the money the the affiliate.

    I'm not sure if this is just me but this is bugging me for more than one reason...
    People are buying things and its' saying so in my paypal but it's not showing up on BuyCraft and is not executingany commands. So I have no record of what they bought....and it's not being on record so if they mess up in the future I won't know :/

    Out of 5 people who just purchased something, only two were actually added to BuyCraft and received their rewards. (Within the past 4 hours)

  21. Payments after 9:00 GMT+1 should process as expected, could you verify this?

    I'll let you know when I have another payment but what was the cause of this issue?

    A nice feature would be if we were able to resize and/or move the different modules around, so some kind of editing page or something. Would allow the stores to be a little more unique and would be quite cool I think.

    You can already move your modules around. When you're on the modules-page of the control-panel, you can drag the modules up and down to reposition them.

    While we like to implement features as fast as possible, we do have roadmaps and have to get other features released. I cant provide an exact timeframe of when they'll be available.

    Hi, I lose a lot of money with mobile purchases. Is there a way to charge people more, if they pay mobile?

    .footer a:link {

        text-decoration: none;
    }

    .footer a:visited {
        color: white;
        text-decoration: none;
    }
    Looks as though for some reason in the css when editing the .footer I'm getting different results depending on the page I go to. In sections where I have to scroll down I see where the footer should be. In sections where I don't have to scroll down it seems to be slightly to the left and to far down. I'm not sure what is causing this issue as my css seems to be smack dab on. When editing the css to fit pages that you don't have to scroll down on, I receive errors on the other pages on where you do need to. As in the foot seems to be half way up the page behind content. I also noticed if I set this onto my bigger screen the footer ends up WAY off of the page. Also for some reason margin: 0 auto; does not work in the css to align something to the center of the screen. Which is probably why all of these issues are occurring in the first place. I've had to try and manually adjust the margins to make everything fit correctly.

    I can't add themes under our subaccount, even though it should have the proper permissions:
    [IMG]
    I still get a "You do not have permission to do that." error when hitting New Theme

    Edit:
    It seems I can edit themes but I couldn't add/create them even though the permission was given to that account.

    Buycraft is still free to use. You only have to pay for some extra features. The system has worked like this for a very long time.
