Safe if backing up while running?

    I've recently started making my server 24/7 and I got one question, is it safe to copy the whole minecraft server folder and paste it in a backup folder while the server is running? Isn't it gonna be corrupted or anything?

    It's never been an issue with me or anybody else I know. it should be fine.

    I've had corrupt backups (missing files) in my previous host but haven't seen problem since.
